Id be scared to offer him a contract in free agency this year.

Theres a very fine line between “injured” and mediocre, especially when you start getting up there in age.

This year will be his bank contract, and i dont see it being very good value especially the last few years. I expect him to sign for 7 for whatever is the highest, wherever he can get it.

He missed the final stretch of the season with and is now playing with a groin injury. Erik Karlsson is FAR from mediocre. Him and his contract will be fine wherever it is.

Using the Avs as a comparator really shows how far we have to go.

We talk about our core 4, look at theirs.

Their D is their weakness and is so much better than ours.  If they get their net situation worked out they could be scary.

They look a good 4-5 years ahead of us in their rebuild and they are getting 4OA this year.

They could be our next Blackhawks as we try to climb up from the basement.

They look 4-5 years ahead of us be cause they ARE 4-5 years ahead of us. They were in the basement while we were still a division champion.

They had the fluke playoff run with Roy as coach then went right back down until the last couple seasons.

Well, you gotta admit, at least they gave Roy a chance unlike us ... and you know who? ;)

Bullsh*t penalty to kill the goal.  The San Jose players stick went up because the Colorado backchecker lifted it.  Not his action.

Clear the NHL has told the Refs to penalize the Sharks whenever possible.

I am not cheering for the Sharks but the NHL is compounding the previous error which allowed them to win the Vegas series with bad officiating in this series.

This is the worst of the 'Even Up' style of Reffing which happens in the NHL all the time when an incompetent Ref make a bad call then decides to fix his previous stupid decision.

NHL needs to have automatic video review on all goals for 1 minute prior to the goal and the option for a team to call for a review for any reason.

That would have erased the stupid penalty on Vegas and this stupid penalty causing a no goal.

What a puke Ron Maclean is.

He'll do anything to make some stupid word pun during the commentary sections, and these little word games do absolutely nothing to add to the the game analysis... its just some weird little ego game for him.

Someone should lock him in the janitors closet at the start of the game and lose the key.
