Since the trump thread has turned into meme, talking head, twitter rant central.  When can we start doing the same thing with the Biden thread.

Who wants to start?

#settleforjoe

Maybe if Trump didn't insist in ranting on Twitter so much, there'd be less of that in the Trump thread?

Trump is a clown loves the attention, good or bad. I'm not trying to argue against that thread turning into a meme blog,

i'm just suggesting that BIden is also a clown and there is plenty to be humoured around him.  Who's not up for a good laugh surrounding the current state of American politics?

I'll start.....

You can watch him squirm here... surprising clip of the MSM pressing him for an answer

And there are already copious attack ads on the dem unity task force... as expected the GOP does not want a united left.

copycat Joe is the new nick.. a bunch of sections word for word taken from Bernie's plan apparently.

Depends on who his VP is.  Donnie is actually probably more rational than the hypocrite Jeebus lover Pence.  THAT is the scary part.

Is Joe stealing pages, or is it the committee set up by both Bern and Joe, making recommendations on the election platform?

Yeah, that's pretty funny considering @Chicken. posted about how Bernie and Biden had formed a committee to come up with a unified policy platform yesterday.

Of course the GOP is just trying to highlight the word for word section copying to convince some moderates that Biden is taking extreme policies from Bernie. Or at the very least cause them to dig a little deeper on his policy positions.

With how the voters act down there I wouldn't be surprised if it worked on some.

I find it interesting how nobody on the Dem side here is interested in talking about Joe or his ideas though. Lacking enthusiasm for sure since it's still all about orange man bad which could still work. Ill reserve judgment until the official platform is decided on.

Oh, have you tried that?

Or have you just posted a right wing article that complains about where he gets those ideas from?

Eh' yesterday I posted an MSM article about the unity task force nobody cared. Not sure why the onus is on me I was noting how his supporters that want him to win aren't really interested in discussing too much. The discussion dies off in this thread quickly. It doesn't really matter to me just an observation.

And the right wing article I posted was in respond to FTG's request for some Biden related things (positive/negative/bias/meme/whatever) to generate some chatter.

Anyways, i'll let the thread die again until he makes his VP pick I suppose.

I saw it. I didn't notice any comment on what you liked, or didn't like about it though. All I saw was one of your compatriots using it as an opportunity to slag AOC.

Personally, I think it's good for JB to get input from as many sources as possible, so I guess my comment would be "good".

Your response?

My compatriot

You sound very interested in the discussion. Not forced at all

I also think it is good for him to try and unite the left as there is quite a range on the spectrum these days with both sides.

I think he should ensure that he has his own unique stamp on things policy wise rather than copying Bernies ideas and just continuing what Obama tried/did. I guess that his shtick is going back to the way things were trending before Trump so he doesn't need many original ideas.

So we're pretty much in agreement then...his recruitment of Sanders, et al is a good thing.

Apologies if I hit a sore spot with the "compatriot" remark, but it's honestly difficult to tell with you. You claim to be this "voice of reason", yet you post a garbage opinion piece from a far right publication that accused JB of "stealing" his ideas.

When you try play both sides of the street, people are going to make up their own minds which side you prefer and it's usually going to depend on which side you spend more time on. Based on the posts I have seen from you, the "compatriot" label is apt. Sorry if that offends you.

No need to be sorry pal.. no sore spot... no offence... just laughter at your choice of words :)  I do not claim to be a voice of reason, I believe I said something like providing balance to the ideological forces in the Trump thread since I like to see posts on both sides rather than the echo chamber the thread has become. it is what it is.

Okay here is an MSM (or far right?) piece saying the same thing as the far-right publication... content is virtually the same... point being the GOP strategy is all about Biden succumbing to the far-left with his word for word copying. look forward to seeing if the verbatim wording makes it to the official platform.

Meh. "Succumbing" is how they want to frame it, because it would allow them to stoke fears of socialism. The truth is, Biden is doing as he should: explore all avenues.

Also, to be clear: This isn't Fox News saying this. It's Kevin McCarthy.

Re: "The voice of reason"....it may have been a poor choice of words. What I do recall you saying is that you call them as you see them.....

As do I.

I thought the big bold letters with Kevin McCarthy's name in the title were pretty clear. there's also a video in the link!

As you should and as we all should my fellow Canadian compatriot!
