It’s fixed. The NHL/NBC want The sharks to beat Boston for the cup. The nhl wants to give the crowd that feel-good Hollywood ending on Thornton’s career.

I haven’t watched a game in a while now as it became obvious early in the 2nd round.

These playoffs have me questioning whether or not the NHL is any more authentic than the WWE.

The most powerful owner in the NHL is Jeremy Jacobs who happens to be the owner of the Bruins.

Lol at all the whiners saying Sanjose doesn’t deserve a cup if they win. You have to be lucky sob’s to win a cup. And I don’t get why these are magnified so much because this garbage happens all the time.

Mainly in favour of Boston for some reason but no one complains about them. Go figure....

Canes lost because they couldn’t pull the trigger on the pp, which they had plenty of time on. So there is that.

It's almost like yes they're willing to look at ideas or options to expand, but they're more concerned with punishing the other team trying to get the call right because they're worried about prolonging games or maybe teams taking advantage of it when it's all about making the right call. I just think they're taking the wrong approach here with coming to an agreement on it going forward, they're just to fixated on adding on a punishment to the other team instead of just using technology to make the right call.

Or....... this is what’s really going on at those think tank meetings..

Nice shot block Bozak. Leafs could of used some more of that this spring. Lol.

Exactly.

The geniuses of the #proper-rebuild let players like Bozak and Komarov walk....replacing them with...?

And then had Tavares taking endless d-zone draws - and Marner blocking shots in the dying moments of game - attempting to defend leads - because they didn't have matchup/shutdown lines they could trust in those circumstances.

They had one of if not the easiest to play against group of bottom six forwards of any team in the playoffs - and ditto for their blueline, particularly that laughable third pairing of Gardiner and Dermott.

The only thing more fun than watching their perenial management playoff failures is watching them turn around and make the same mistakes all over again, doubling down on the same Dumbas mistakes they made years running.   Must be driving Babcock nuts dealing with the Spam and the Dumb, but at least he has that incredibly fat wallet to cushion the fall.

now that guy is speaking my language.....!

(except for the deluded 'great country' part of course).

come to think of it though, that 'great country' is welcome to take all of Toronto if they'd like - I imagine Toronto wouldn't mind.

Something about St Louis has always seemed to rub me the wrong way - from Brett Hull to the 'Professor' to a fanbase that chants "USA" (not any longer it seems) at a team full of Canadians lol.

But damn do I like a lot of their players.

Ryan O'Reilly probably being my favorite - a great two-way center - who also appears to be a great person off the ice.

Love that Robert Thomas pick (a fantasy draft favorite of mine) - looks to be developing into a 'beast' of a player.

Dunn, Fabbri, Barbashev, Blais, (Kyrou) = some other fun young players to watch, who appear to play the game 'the right way'.

Pietrangelo, Parayko, Edmondson, Bortuzzo, Bouwmeester (gaining grit with age), Gunnarson....hard not to like how that blueline is built.

Tarasenko, Schwartz, Schenn,  Steen, Bozak, Perron, Maroon - again, hard not to like the quality and depth of that forward group.

Really solid team from top to bottom imo.

Would really like to see that group win it all this year.
