Elite Keeper League 2019/2020 -[4 GM Positions Available]

Recommended Posts

The Arizona Coyotes sadly request the release of our prospect Vincent Praplan. Vincent returned to Switzerland with a four year contract after just one season in the North American minor leagues. We thought he had the chops, still do, but likely he was having trouble with the culture shift and we understand that. Best of luck to Vincent in the future, he is a great hockey player and will do the Swiss proud in international play for years to come.

May 20th 2019:

Praplan agreed to terms on a four-year contract with Swiss club SC Bern on Friday.

After being traded by San Jose to Florida for future considerations at the deadline, the chances of Praplan securing a two-way NHL deal were probably pretty slim. The winger will head back to his native Switzerland, where he previously played from 2014-18. In his one year in the AHL, the 24-year-old recorded six goals and 17 helpers in 41 outings for San Jose and Springfield. Given the length of Praplan's contract, a return to North America seems highly unlikely

The exec team is working hard to find GM's to fill our vacancies, but until we do so, we will have control of some of the following.

-RFA players will be qualified, however, an RFA for a Vacant team will not be subject to an offersheet until a new GM is in place and they choose what they want to do

-UFA players on said teams (if a gm is not found before the negotiating window), will either be resigned, or released, but will be discussed amongst the exec on the best direction

-Drafting is a bit of a grey area, at this time the Edmonton pick will be skipped tomorrow at 10AM if no GM is found before then. Montreal has limited picks, but if we come around to Edmonton again before the spot is filled, the exec will make a decision at that time

Was deciding between him and Beecher. At the end of the day, Beecher seemed like the safer choice. Although, not as talented offensively.
