If I may share my thoughts on this matter, in poetic verse:

Loui, Loui, Loui, you're the subject I must broach

I just cannot defend you, like your manager or coach

Your lack of try, laclustre play, makes me want to vomit

Enjoy your time in Utica, riding buses with the Comets

For you, no five star dining, no more steak and tenderloin

Just "Rooty, Tooty, Fresh & Fruity", at the IHOP in Des Moines

And please don't dare to cry and whine, Coach Cull won't hesitate

To put you through the ringer, with a daily "Loui Bag Skate"

But just in case the AHL, and all it's trimmings are beneath you

J.P. is at your beck and call, just tell him you are through!

Or better yet, go back to Sweden, or Loui, just retire

The experiment is over, its time to douse your dumpster fire

Hell of a first post. Welcome to CDC!

You have two things in play here. A journalist trying to get under Louis skin and cultural differences between a swede and canadian.

The journalist got Loui relaxed and made him speak from his heart. Very common with journalists that knows what they're doin. Loui then described the situation everyone around already has seen. Green play him defensively(hiding in lines if you want) and bench him one game.

Loui then say he has to work harder to try to fix it(in other words...)

What's the problem with that?

Benning should just have laughed at the situation and said to journos, "don't you have anything better to write about?", and left it there.

Regarding family member erc... It's called having a brain and use it.

The worst posters here don't know how much damage they do to the team when they ridicule/hate players like they do. So it's not about Loui. If it happens with a canadian player next time I will stand up for that guy also.

You know you shouldn't mix booze and pills right?

Better question why would Loui even do a interview when he hasn't done jack since coming to Van. Loui should call mat sundin cause when he came here. He was on his last leg but still gave it all he had and even started playing D. Loui has giving up and it's everyone's fault but his. Look at a lot of guys that chase a cup at the end of their career. They all change their game but Loui doesn't. I think the problem is Loui belongs in the east where the dirty areas are a lil easier to get into. Loui is a fake star 40 goals in Boston and ask me that's more to do with the line he was on. Coming to van was bad from the start cause he doesn't create offense But cleans up and needs to play with a guy like Bo to even put up points and guess what the coaches don't see him as a top six player. Loui should have shut his spoiled mouth and just hit the gym.

His agent isn't even pretending that they aren't trying to move him, only that he's still an NHL player and shouldn't be sent to the minors.  Odds are that's where he's headed though.  Three years of riding the buses might be more than he can take.  No "sweeteners" to get rid of him:  force him into retirement.

Not so fast, check out the trade thread...

:picard:

I don’t have to read that thread as I don’t care about the Flames or Oilers. But I am interested in seeing Eriksson leave, so at least there won’t be anymore proposals here about Lucic for Eriksson, which I didn't want to happen anyways.

I really do hope he is traded, but if he isn't well then I just hope he gets injured then and doesn't get to play instead. Yeah yeah I get it no one ever wants to wish an injury on someone, but when that one comes out and complains like a @#$&# about playing time and not being given the opportunities, when history shows he has been, sorry but not sorry hopefully you get injured if your still on this team to start the season.

With lucic off the table and benning is looking for a 1 for 1 kind of trade then who is next in the rumour mill

Dumping just his contract with out out taking anything back I am assuming is costing way to much

I still like Eriksson, $2m retained + moderate sweetener for Boedker.

Loui needs to smarten his arse up though and realize he's not in fact 'coveted' and his other option may be playing in Utica riding buses... and waive his NTC.

Shattenkirk for Eriksson. Use him as a PP specialist then look to trade him at the deadline with some retention. Be way easier to trade a rhd with offensive skill vs an overpaid soft eriksson

which is exactly why the trade would never happen in the first place.

Lmao @ Calgary. Treliving is so overrated.

Full NMC retained.  Considering the cap situation they're in, that trade alone should be a fireable offense.  They simply MUST have some other trades on the table ready to happen, whether dumping Brodie or Frolik or otherwise.
