His contract is extended by the Russian hockey federation for another two years. He is appointed as "senior coach" to the Russian national team and SKA club. Basically he is going to be like assistant coach to Alexey Kudashov who is the head coach to both Russian national team and SKA, St.Petersburg. This is not clear by now if Bragin remains to be head coach for the national junior team. There are rumors that Igor Larionov may take this position. Podkolzin said that he was shoked when Bragin came to the SKA team practice. Podkolzin noted how energetic Bragin was and how much Vasily enjoyed working with this coach.
