Guest
Sportsnet 650 had the head of European scouting for one of the major hockey publications (sorry, forgot which one) and he mentioned a few days ago that Podkolzin would be better off playing a lot in the MHL because of the fact that young players don't get much ice time in the KHL, especially at a big club like SKA. Ray_Cathode
On 8/29/2019 at 7:42 PM, Pete M said: good point...there is an easy hockey drill called "follow your pass"...if players actually do that in a game, it's amazing how much puck support (different levels of support) and chances come from doing this simple game situation drill in a game...just follow in Podz wake and a player should be able to capitalize on chances he creates. Taught that as a minor hockey coach, no point forechecking if nobody follows. Most pucks are coughed up from players who are contested.

Was soooo stoked when we picked him at 10. Started watching him when he began to get projected as a possible top 3-5 pick for a large portion of last year. Steal at 10.

Two more years he is going to be beastly.

Popular Post GoldenAlien
Good progress from his first game where he only played one shift and 41 seconds. 3 2
Dekey Pete
wow he is relentless on the puck, pushes hard to the net and isn't afraid to battle for net front position. Not to mention he's got some slick hands. JB seems to have picked a good one here

Nucker 67
I can see Pod coming to VAN in 2 years with a big chip on his shoulder. I think he'll want to prove that some of the other teams made a mistake by passing on him for the polished, entitled American kids. 1
HockeyHarry
Watching his game 2 Pod is always first to the puck. The kid is a battler, he’s none stop. He should of scored but the D guy hooked his stick and Arm. I’m happy he’s getting ice time and he will get more just by the way he competes. im so stroked about the Podkolzin on Canucks future. Again...great pick at 10. 1 1
Phat Fingers
I see a player who's game will seamlessly transfer to the NHL. Beast like tenacity. Great pick and IMO in a re draft in 5 years he rises a few spots.
