Podz is already NHL size and and strength.  Leave him there for a year and revisit it in the fall.  :)

Plus he is only seventeen and still probably growing.

I read a comment earlier and it got me thinking. So, according to a CBA rule or something a NHL team can not buy out a KHL contract. However, I read that a player himself could buyout his contract. If this is possible, I doubt Podkolzin could afford to buyout his contract so why not start a GoFundMe campaign to help him buy out his contract. I know it’s sounds stupid but hey if it works we just got ourselves a top 5 pick ready to jump into the NHL.

Where do I deposit?

Benning said he'll be going back to play the 1-2 years required. They're figuring out if they could buy out his last year with the team. But I'd rather have him learning from Datsyuk if he's still there next year.

We need cheaper players to fill out the roster when EP and Hughes' ELCs expire. Getting Podkolzin on a rookie deal at that point will be ideal as he is cheap and will hopefully be ready to be an impact player in two years time

Nucks should pay for an English tutor / teacher for him starting today. Squeeze in a 2-3 hours a week for 2 years before he gets here. It will help him to adjust to Vancouver / N. American living immensely and not repeat the Tryamkin mistakes the Nucks made last time.
