5.25 mil, solid skater and 50 point player at 26 years old.

7 mil boat anchor with a NMC

What's your point?

1st round pick vs a bag of pucks

Whats your point?

Yes and finally done depth. A good chunk on that list don’t deserve to be full time players. Time to trim the fat.

Horvat, if Miller plays as well as Horvat, its worth the trade.

I like the player, don’t like the trade.  If he plays as good as Horvat, I’ll change my opinion

Miller is not the player Horvat is. I think that's a big ask.

No one would trade Horvat for a 1st and 3rd.

Horvat gets you a young top pair Dman. Not a 2nd line winger / 3rd line C

It is an overpayment for sure. Did JB really need to add the 3rd rounder to the 1st? A 16 to 32 1st round is what cost should be.

Really going to suck if it ends up being a top top 8 pick.

I like the acquisition but the expense of the deal in terms of the 1st is painful.  Still, if Hayes can get $7M per year then $5.25M for Miller over the next 4-years might very good value especially if he can gel in the top-6 and increase his production.

I’d rather give up 1.75 million a season to keep a 1st round pick

I guess his 115 hits will be something we really really needed

creating room for EP

For sure. Those 115 hits put him 4th on the Canucks forwards group, can only see those going up with increased ice time. That line needed a mucker for sure. Will also be nice to have him on the ice for key faceoffs.

Miller isn't a bag of pucks. Your cluelessness is showing again...

Miller isn’t a bag of pucks, he’s worth supposedly a 1st and a 3rd.

Lucic is worth a bag of pucks

You justify his value with stats, Lucic has similar stats, which costs more?  I’d rather give up a bag of pucks than a 1st round pick

Holland isn't giving Lucic away.

Maybe the team just got better skill, leadership and toughness wise and fans shouldn’t dwell too much on the 2022 version of the team that 1st round pick is  most likely to impact, if at all.

Or do.  Whatever.

Yeah why plan for the future as a franchise.

Maybe if we were cup contenders I'd be all in for slitting our throats (like Gillis did) by trading all our picks away.

I love how people here praise all the 1st round picks playing on this team but the one we just traded away is apparently worthless.  LOL jesus.
