Bure1010
Good thing we didn’t use a future first round pick on a good player so we can keep stockpiling the same old middle of the road $h!+ pile

DS4quality
Well a 2021 1st is a lot to pay for a guy who got 47 points. JB sure loves American players. Not a fan of Canadians eh JB? 1

A good fit for Bo or Petey. Great deal imo. Pick is protected next year if we somehow miss the playoffs but I don't see that happening.

And just like I thought jb is gonna do something detrimental to this teams future to try and save his job. 1
Popular Post Coconuts
Top 6 guy who goes to the net and is signed at 5.25mx4 I'm fine with it, it's not like he's the last piece we'll move in/out To expect Tampa to give him away is silly, of course they're gonna try and get something 1
ButterBean
All of a sudden our top 6 is looking pretty good if Virtanen can make the next step. I like the fact that he can play center too if we get injuries. Miller - Petey - Boeser Pearson - Horvat - Virtanen or Pearson - Horvat - Boeser Virtanen - Petey - Miller

I'll add to this though, it's a bit pricier deal than I'd like for a player who doesn't drive play but rather supports it. He's got a good deal with some term where he's young enough that won't be an issue, just don't like the cost going back since Tampa's hand was forced a bit. I have to assume there was a bit of competition to get him that drove the price up. Edited June 22, 2019 by elvis15 Much better as a "Current Roster" thread.
Popular Post -AJ-
Have to give a lot to get a lot. I think Miller will be worth it. I think he might push us into the playoffs this year, meaning that the 1st is for this year and won't be a high pick. In addition, I think in 2021, we'll continue to be a playoff team, so if it's 2020 or 2021, all we're giving up is a 20-25 pick probably unless this team majorly flops. This deal is expensive, but when wouldn't a deal for a 26-year old top six winger be? This is the deal we needed to make to become a playoff team. This deal alone pushes us into playoff contention IMO, all else equal. 3
Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
I really like JT Miller. So versatile, can play every position, and can move up the lineup and move down with ease and play whatever role you need. Brings physicality, plays along the edge like Roussel, but super reliable in all three zones. Showed he can play with talented players like Stamkos and Kucherov, but also grind it out with Killorn and Cirelli. Really excited to add him to the mix. 6 4
Guest
If he can make 60-70 points with Petey, then I think he’s more valuable than a wild card.

Popular Post BananaMash
JT Miller sort of reminds me of a winger version of Horvat in some ways, which is cool. I think he'll fit well in our top six. 1 5

He might with his regular season production which is best for us just so the pick is out of the way and done with. However, his track record shows come playoff time though you shouldn’t expect anything from him which is what makes this even more of a head scratcher...
Grape
I would like it a little more if Tampa wasn’t trying to offload contracts. They were the ones who were trying to get rid of JT so not sure I love the deal. JT on the other hand is solid. Hope he can sustain his level of play for 4 years and I think he can. Does anyone have any advanced stuff on JT?
