JT has become a real leader and mentor for Jake and the other young guys.

Check out the interview with Miller embedded part way down in this article:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/canucks-blown-away-j-t-millers-off-ice-impact/

He comes off verbally a lot like he looks on the ice:  a serious, smart, focused guy.  And this interview specifically gets into the Jake-Miller relationship, confirming what a lot of people suggested above.

Canucks' pro scouting doesn't have the greatest track record but man, did they hit a home run with this guy.  As one of the people who got it wrong about this trade when it first happened, I'm taking my hat off to them.

Great video. What a stud this guy is. Exactly what the Canucks needed this year. We're so lucky to have him at an extremely reasonable cap. He's a great influence on Virtanen and is the whole meal deal - scores, sets up plays, grinds it out, hits, competitive attitude... he's the man. Once we hit post-season, he's exactly who can lead the charge.

Was going to post this video good that you grabbed it Vintage what a tribute to this guy. This guy has been incredible we could talk about him everyday and he would still be underrated. I dont think its really dawned on the fandom as a whole how good this guy really is. His compete level, his calm under pressure, the skill level thats legit. It goes on and on with this guy. What I am most impressed with is the leadership quality he has we need to put a letter on this man and I love Bo but I really think this man is our captain.

I think Miller is having very positive impact on Jake's career. No secret that Jake is playing his best hockey this season as he is getting tips from a veteran like Miller.

Miller comparable - Mason Raymond?

Yeah realized that was the case this morning, and then Googled them both.
J.T. is 40 lbs heavier than Mason even though they're the same height so it's crazy how much Miller grew (and I get that it was meant to be a style comparison but even in his draft year he's already heavier at 190 lbs than Mason's current 179... plus he was rated as a Kesler lite or Dubinsky so not sure where the May Ray came from when May Ray was known as being speed oriented but slight build)

It's crazy to think about it this way, but we gave up more assets in 2011 to acquire Keith Ballard than we did in 2019 to acquire JT Miller. If only MG could find us a Miller kind of player when we gave up that package for Ballard in 2011...

JT Miller is a beast.

1st and 3rd rounder for him?  Every day of the week....

Yes I agree, Wish Benning and group got more credit..You have this 30% of fans that alway bring up something negative..Ever GM makes mistakes..Some of these fans also figure you should only have to give up a middle roster player for Miller..lol.lol

Always think there players are worth more and then go off about negative topics...Guess you just look at the source..

OMG  i remember draft day and all the negative posts about Miller trade...I knew that Miller would be a solid say 23 G-- 56-62 point guy playing a complete 200 foot game. I was happy about trade and Miller only 26yrs old with cap friendly deal...OMG Miller was just fantastic and 3 more years before he is a UFA...

Great chemistry with Petey..

Taffoli - Like that trade also just hope we have cap room. Taffoli is another  solid forward plays 200 foot game should hit 30--35G --68 PTS, playing with Pettersson...

When Jim Benning took GM job in Vancouver the prospect pool was very bad and previous GM'S drafting was very poor for 10 years...

Look at Bennings first draft  1.Virtanen - McCann, Demko - Tryamkin - Forsling - All  5 guys NHL player..

Lots of prospects in the pool and building this team to be a real contender again..

Very exciting future.... GO Canucks Go...

He would have knocked it out of the park if he had taken Pastrnak instead of McCann....Pasta was taken the next player after McCann....however, not a bad draft if Tryamkin signs.

If we had Pastrnak, we would not be bad enough to draft Pettersson or Hughes in 2017 and 2018. So you can't have them all.

Was thinking about getting a JT Miller jersey...when are they going on sale?

The only Canuck jersey I have is Trevor Linden's...

Often happens after the team ends the playoffs, but I'm not sure how the off-season would be.
