So according to Fantrax, this was the trade:

To ARZ: Calvin de Haan, Rocco Grimaldi

To MIN: Devan Dubnyk

To OTT: Sweet FA...

I'd like my goalie please :frantic:

You weren't supposed to say anything

@thejazz97 when is Puck's buyout period this year?

Same as last year, IIRC?

The buyout window will be 00:01 on Saturday 21 July 2018 (PST) to 23:59 on Friday 14 September 2018 (PST).

- Players must pass through waivers to be eligible for a buyout.

...Alrighty then.

This seems to be a great time to announce my resignation from Puck. (It was coming this offseason regardless, but wanted to finish the draft and free agency first.)

I had a great run, and enjoyed my time with you guys. My team had a couple fantastic years, and still seems to be in good shape for the future. Hope the next guy doesn't do stupid stuff (ie. - see above) to it.

Ciao everybody! And have a great summer!!!

Another rival bites the dust. #CYABUD!!! ::D No more bending me over a table in trade negotiations... I joke lol

Bit sad to see you go, good luck with your future fantasy endeavors!

I legit offered 3 1sts for him and he still said no... I just dont get it.. and how you could keep Makar without giving him up in a deal like this is just mindblowing

Outside point of view on this, but you went to the conference finals this year and the odds of 3 late firsts panning out to be as good as Hoffman, Hamonic, and Kapanen are very slim

This was pre-lottery -- I had LAK's 1st (4th overall at the time) and even gave him the option to substitute Glass for the other 1st rounder

* - As Dryden Hunt is an RFA from Chicago, @WalkWithElias40 will have seven days from this announcement (1:20 pm PST, July 12, 2019) to either match the offer or accept compensation. Due to the contract's salary, the compensation owed would be nothing.

** - As Bo Horvat is an RFA from Tampa Bay, @Alain Vigneault and @Sane33 will have seven days from this announcement (1:20 pm PST, July 12, 2019) to either match the offer or accept compensation. Due to the contract's salary, the compensation owed would be a 1st Round Pick (2020) and 3rd Round Pick (2020).

I'll also take this time to give a PSA that rosters must be under the salary cap ($81.5m) and under the roster cap (50 contracts, unsigned players not included) by the first night of the season. If rosters don't, a penalty will be applied to each team failing to fall at or under either.

Chicago Blackhawks will Match that offer :)

Woah, this real life trade does not effect me in any pools? I know they had great prospect D depth. But man, I don't like this for Chicago...

What does everybody else think?

Clear loss for Chicago, but they managed to turn Strome into a star...

I’d disagree with your statement here since first round picks pan out to be NHL players 80% of the time... and look at all the former late first round picks in the NHL in Filip Forsberg, Tomas Hertl, Andrei vasilevskiy, Erik karlsson, tarasenko all of the were either mid first or late first round picks. Dahlin will be the number one defensemen in the league in minimum two years.
