Canucks Curse Posted July 3, 2019 Share Posted July 3, 2019 there is no market for LE., bearrtschi, Sutter and I doubt there is much of a market for Tanev, although I think he is moveable just not for much, maybe a 2nd? or 3rd/4th, look what Collin miller and Justin brain got...not much. If we are to move him, it would be to open up cap space, but we have excess forwards and not enough right shot d men. Moving Tanev would open up another hole. I bet behind the scenes, Canucks are exploring terminating Les contract with him, I know they said they expect he will be in Vancouver in the fall, but his cap hit is a serious block right now with Dzingel, Ferland etc still on the market. the Luongo recapture penalty is really screwing us Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rick Blight Posted July 3, 2019 Share Posted July 3, 2019 If Tanev goes they could just move Benn to the right side, where he is very comfortable, and go with Myers, Stecher and Benn as the top 3 RD. The left side would have Edler. Hughes and one of Juolevi, Fantenberg or Sautner. I think the expectation is that Fantenberg makes the team unless he disappoints at training camp. If JB wants a forward just go out and sign one last UFA. Not sure we we would want to regress in that department after adding Benn and Myers.
