Tomatoes11
Did we really just trade a fricking 1st and a 3rd for TJ fricking Miller?! Tampa was desperate to dump cap space too. Plus we haven’t even sniffed the playoffs yet. Sorry, but that is just a hilariously bad trade that gets worse the more I think about it. Lol We seriously need to fire Benning before he does something even worse than this trade. Edited July 4, 2019 by Tomatoes11 2 1

xereau
Mid 1st rounder. Can score. Lots of reasonable term left. Has put up points playing up and down the lineup. Plays all forward positions. Just entering his prime. 1 1

Popular Post Hindustan Smyl
J.T. Miller is a proven first line caliber winger that can play all three forward positions, and has very good size and physicality. He will also be on an absolute sweet heart deal for the next 4 years (contrast this to what other UFA wingers are getting on the market). During the next two years, there’s a very good chance that the Canucks will be a wildcard playoff caliber team at minimum (and hence, significantly lowering the quality of the first that we’d be giving Tampa). One big issue that the Canucks had last year, was with other teams taking liberties with Pettersson. With Miller on EP’s line, Miller has the skills, smarts, and toughness needed to be a great linemate for Pettersson. When JT Miller is in the FINAL year of his contract, there is an extremely good chance that the Canucks will be a 2nd round+ caliber team. Having Miller’s heavily discounted cap at this time could be a huge advantage.
