Vancouver has no players choosing arbitration.

Trouba and Binnington are the standout names on the list.

Lol...I alluded to the fact this guy seems like a complete 'me first' guy in another thread and got criticized heavily for it.  Seems like he won't be happy until he's completely ufa and gets overpaid.

Seems to always be looking for trouba..................................

Correct, these players would no longer be offer sheet eligible.

How offer sheets work

For an RFA to be eligible to receive an offer sheet they either have to a) receive a qualifying offer, but not sign it or b) not be going to arbitration. Any player who does not receive a qualifying offer will become a UFA (like Robin Lehner last summer) and any player who elects for arbitration has to go through that process with their team in July or August. After that, if the team chooses to walk away from the arbiter’s decision, the player will become a UFA.

Who was the last Canuck to have a arbitration hearing?

Last year, Troy Stecher filed for salary arbitration.

The Flames are in cap trouble.  $9.4MM in cap space with Rittich, Bennett, Mangiapane and Tkachuk to sign. Tkachuk is gonna need to get paid - 77 points last year.

They have a couple of players they can demote or waive but that's gonna be tight.   Guess that's why Brodie is available.  Flames are not getting better - good news for the Canucks.

I wish...Brock does not have arbitration rights this year. His options are to make a deal or sit out like Nylander last year. It will happen,

BOLD MOVE

Exactly the type of bold, creative moves our management team never seems to be able to make.
