I’m pretty sure I’ll have a lot of company come years 3 and 4.

Yup.  The number of other teams’ fans coming to attack our team will dramatically increase as we win, make the players, and get to the Cup.

What does this all mean?  We can loan Loui to an SHL team, he gets his salary, but it doesn’t count on the cap?

No I think it means the opposite, the team he is being loaned to takes on the full salary but the cap hit still counts... maybe some relief like if he was waived to the AHL.

That being said that would be a very very attractive contract to cheap ass owners who can reach the Cap floor but pay 0 salary to do it.

Beagle and Sutter's contracts certainly aren't 'bargains' but they're still VERY solid, contributing players (when healthy anyway). They aren't players/contracts that need be 'dumped'.

Schaller's is inconsequential. Beyond that...what exactly do we have to complain about? Much ado about nothing.

Fair enough.

I think you're right , Baer and Schaller are both redundant parts now.

If they could be packaged w loui for James Neal my off season wish list would be complete! :-D

Meyers - 6m

Benn - 2m

Ferland - 3.5m

Miller - 5.25m

Leivo - 1.5m

JB is knocking them out of the park like Vladdie this summer!

I know there is a group that will hate the Meyers deal no matter what but hard to argue against $ and term for all these deals

Are Sutter and Beagle not very solid defensive players? Are their contracts bargains? Is Schaller's contract at all consequential?

I'm not the one on spin-cycle.

Yes, all our mistakes are actually good things.

All our really bad mistakes are inconsequential.

There is no bad, only amazing.

I ride a unicorn to work.

Wait, what am I talking about... in this fantasy land, there is no work :)

AFK while I eat rainbows for lunch.

Yesss!!!.

This is the one piece I've really wanted.

A real physical presence that can keep up with the speed of todays game.

My hope is that he meshes with Bo.

Could be a real nasty match up if he does.

Baer               Petey               Boeser

Ferland          Horvat              Miller

Pearson         Sutter               Virtanen

Slightly different look just for fun:

Goldobin Pettersson Miller

Pearson Horvat Boeser

Baertschi Gaudette Ferland

Leivo Beagle Virtanen

Roussel

Gives you roughly two skilled players with likely chemistry and a gritty fore-check guy.  That's without Sutter, Motte, and obviously Eriksson.  That is some serious depth.

Hyperbole. Wee. :bored:

You're first 'mistake' is assuming anything other than Eriksson actually qualifies as a mistake of any real consequence if any consequence at all.

@Squamfan just shared this in an Eriksson thread...  this could be fantastic.

This could be huge if true...and if im interpreting it correctly.  So if Loui signs a 3 year deal in Sweden to a team they agree to loan him to he is off the books here?

That would be some magic wand, pull a rabbit out of a hat, action
