I haven't read the thread yet but personally I don't care about the cap. Why should I? I am a fan. JB's job is to make it work. So far he has been excellent this off season and two months to go still. Excited for next season!! Ferland is exactly who I wanted after we got JT, Myers, and Benn. Imagine a Canucks team with 6 actual top 6 forwards!!! We can say we have that!! As much as this off-season was as close to perfect as it could be, you KNOW the local media will still chew up Benning for his moves and demand his head on a platter. Personally, I feel Benning has already surpassed expectations. Now comes the fun again. Edited July 11, 2019 by Me_

That's true of every player in the league. That said, as much as he's one of my favourite Canucks, I don't see a spot for him, unless they can unload LE.......which I don't see happening. If they could magically move LE, this is a beauty of a fwd lineup Ferland Petey Boes Pearson Bo Miller Baer Sutter Virt Roussel Beagle Leivo Motte Every line can score with skill, every line can at least handle themselves defensively and every line has some pushback........the bottom 9 look absolutely nasty to play against. To me, that might be one of the most balanced lineups in the league. Maybe not the best, but there are no weak links there. TG can roll those 4 lines every night. 1 1

Don't be surprised if JB kept Eriksson over him. $3M+ cap space cleared for a pick.
Popular Post Kanukfanatic
My turn: Ferland Pettersson Boeser Pearson Horvat JT Miller Roussel Sutter Virtanen Motte Beagle MacEwen Jeebus...look at the size of that roster lol. Some face punchers.....Ferland & MacEwen - check Big bodies to bodycheck hard......Horvat & Miller & Virtanen & Ferland & MacEwen - check A bit of intimidation for taking liberties on young guys - check Skill - check Speed - check Agitation LOTS Nice!!!! Said they're past any requests on the board and they're all looking for a solution and that changes can still happen. With the FA wave having subsided it opens the door for a trade or ? I'm glad it's not just a matter of "he loves it here and wants to stay". It seems everyone wants to close this chapter and move on so...hopefully. JP also said a trade would have to involve another player in a "similar situation" I dunno, maybe Utica this year and a buyout next year is better than taking on another problem?
