The_Rocket
To Edmonton: Sutter To Vancouver: Manning 2nd round pick I’ve seen a lot of mock line-ups for the oilers that have Grandlund as their 3rd line centre and European Free agent signing as their 4th line centre. Adding a 3rd line centre is a major need for that team right now, but cap space is limited. Manning seems destined to start the season in the AHL unless NONE of their prospects are deemed ready to go (unlikely IMO as they have Bouchard, bear, Jones, legassen, and persson who imo are all better than manning). I think they’d be willing to pay to get rid of him to open the cap to bring in a reliable 3rd line centre. Canucks get a 2nd round pick with taking manning back, but still end up clearing just over 2 million in cap. Then if the Canucks send LE, Schaller, and manning to Utica, they will have enough cap space to sign boeser (7.5 aav) and Goldobin (1.5 aav). 6string
Will Sutter have Edmonton on its list of 15 teams with his Alberta heritage and can the Tire Fire Club afford his $4.5 million?

Phil_314
Given their lack of wingers, and with a clean bill of health on his side, I would be surprised if Sutter didn't find his way onto Connor's wing since his shot is actually pretty good (he was the Twins' trigger-man after Kesler left) and he's a two-way player as well who likes to play a 200-foot game. If we could sell that to the Oil and get a 2nd (essentially a 1st) that would be golden.
Drakrami
Good luck getting a 2nd for Sutter lol..
-AJ-
Even if they could afford this, I think Edmonton says no. Sutter can be a great player, but last year was poor by his standards and the injuries don't help. His value is probably at an all-time low right now. I'd rather wait until the season when he can hopefully start strong and then increase his value.
Elias Pettersson
We are building a playoff team and we are going to trade our 3rd line centre for a scrub like Manning and a pick? Gaudette isn't ready for the big minutes just yet. He needs more time in Utica. We need Sutter and Beagle as our defensive specialists. Let Gaudette get the big minutes in Utica playing on the top line. If he's ready by year's end and Sutter has a good year we can trade Sutter on a high. His value is at it's lowest point right now. But low, sell high...
Alflives
We need Sutter. Manning was a great QB, but I don’t think he can skate.
Tyndall2
Is this the last kick at the can with the Canucks for Goldy? Can't say they haven't given him a chance.

komodo0921
I don't think Sutter's going anywhere until he proves he's 100% healthy. Salary retention is probably going to be a factor as well.
