If Jake and OJ turn into difference makers, and he manages to offload Littlethinger as early as this season, what is Benning's status then?

Well he's already stocked the cupboards in a way no GM has ever done in Canuck history, Jake will pan out and with the start to last season in Utica I think OJ will as well.

He has a chance to go down as the best GM we have ever had if he brings a cup

Should a rebuilding team be in the playoffs?  JB was rewarded with an extension because of the quality of our rebuild.  Look at our young core, the veteran support cast, and the depth and quality of our prospects.  Our next decade is going to be by far the best ever for this team.  That’s why JB was extended.

Tying the record for most playoff misses in a row isn't a successful season.

Im optimistic for this year and would happily extend jb after this season if successful.

It’s a rebuild.  Making the playoffs can kill a rebuild.  We got Podkolzin and Hoglander in rounds one and two this last draft.  Those two will be coming along just when some of our support guys are demanding more money than we can afford.

Everyone’s trying to explain this to him.....but it’s stubbornness / ignorance at its finest. What can you do?
