Popular Post Nail
Things are starting to get back to normal here I've emailed Pickup to start setting up our playoff pool, just waiting for confirmation from them that their systems will be able to track points for both the play-in games, as well as the round robin. Once I've gotten my confirmation, I will create the pool and I will start to compile the playoff rosters from all 24 teams involved. Please note that due to the odd nature of all this, I will be submitting playoff rosters for any teams who are inactive, and I may have to start look into replacing those GMs if they do not come back onto CDC soon. 6

Kobayashi Maru
Are playoff roster sizes the same as the current regular season ones? ie. How do a bench Dylan Larkin for the playoffs as he's nowhere near it, haha. This may have been discussed somewhere but I didn't see it. Rosters that go on Pickup will be the same size (23 man roster). Teams will be required to post their rosters along with black aces. There is no salary cap, and no limitations to how many players can be a black ace. Seeing as there are 24 teams for the play-in rounds, I expect teams will have close to a full roster, with tons of black aces. Only between rounds are you able to switch the black aces in and out of your lineup so they can begin to collect points. If a player is not on your original roster post as a roster player or a black ace, they are ineligible to use for the entirety of the playoffs.

Popular Post Nail
The playoff pool has been created! Username - CDCFL2020Playoffs Password - cdcfl We will be following the NHL format for the playoffs. Top 4 teams in each conference are playing for seeding in the Round of 16, while the winner of each play-in round will advance. Teams will be re-seeded after each round, highest seed remaining will play lowest seed remaining. For those who can't remember what our bracket looks like, here it is below: For the initial round which includes all 24 teams, points will be accumulated for both the play-in rounds and the round robin games in the NHL. As stated before, playoff rosters may consist of a maximum of 23 players (14 forwards or 8 defenceman and 2 goalies). Teams are also permitted to list their black aces. These players will not collect points during the play-in rounds, and will only collect points if swapped into the lineup in between rounds. There is no swapping of players mid-round. It will be very interesting to see the strategy used for black aces, may some players who are on a top team playing in the round robin in the NHL be left off the roster to allow for players who may play up to 5 games? Teams do not need to call up or send down players, no transactions will be reflected on the spreadsheet. There is no salary cap in the playoffs, teams are free to use any of their players to their full disposal (excluding players who are on ELC slide or are not under contract for 2019-20). Teams will be permitted to make changes to their play-in round roster up until the puck drop of the first game on August 1st. If making any changes, please be sure to quote and re-post the new roster in the thread so I can reflect it accordingly on Pickup. I now ask that all 24 teams involved submit their playoff roster. Failure to do so prior to August 1st will result in the immediate termination of that GM. We do have a waiting list to get into this league so I will require a roster post from all GMs. Should a GM not post a roster, I will input a roster on Pickup for that team. If you have already posted a roster in the thread, please post it again so I can input it into Pickup (excluding you @Rush17, I got yours from this page). Best of luck to all in the playoffs, its been a wacky and wild year but I am excited to see who will become the next CDCFL Cup Champion! D-Money
Carolina Hurricanes - 2020 Playoff Roster (Bold = Definite 1st round, others dependent on play-in round) Alex Ovechkin - Aleksander Barkov - Reilly Smith Jakub Vrana - Kevin Hayes - Craig Smith Andre Burakovsky - Charlie Coyle - Ilya Mikheyev Marcus Foligno - Sean Kuraly - Gabriel Bourque MacKenzie MacEachern, Logan Shaw Mark Giordano - Nate Schmidt Mattias Ekholm - Mikhail Sergachev Justin Braun - Stephen Johns Jeremy Lauzon Andrei Vailevskiy Semyon Varlamov Black Aces: F - Valentin Zykov (but not currently on Vegas' return to play roster ) F - Gerald Mayhew F - Reese Johnson F - Frederick Gaudreau G- Oscar Dansk Really like my team, even more than previous years - the top talent is better than ever. However what will actually happen in the bubbles is harder to predict than ever before. Nice to have reps from 7/8 of the play-in bye teams (8 if you count MacEachern, but he probably won't play). That said, I could see multiple teams that come in off the bye round upsetting top teams, simply because they'll have the playoff rhythm going from the start of game 1. I definitely need at least 2 of Washington, Tampa, Vegas, Philly, and Nashville to go deep to have a chance... (Which means it will be St. Louis, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, and Carolina in the Conference Finals, and I'll lose in the 3rd round, again. ) (Looking at some of the CDCFL play-in team rosters...sure glad I'm top seed in the East, and get the lowest one! Just hope it's not @Arbourshate's Caps!) Edited July 22, 2020 by D-Money Added Frederick Gaudreau...who knows why though... 1
