The weirdest thing is the best clubs in the west are playing in a round robin and none of them have cracked 100 yet...

WPG 47

COL 82

LAK 58

EDM 63

Meanwhile, the eventual playin winner about to face each of them has generally reached 100 points already, Vegas at 92 is the worst off but still 10 points higher than the best top 4 in the west.

Odd but fun!! Its a 1 in 8 shot at Laff, OR what could be a 1 in 4 chance to hit the 2nd round and be well situated. At least in the west. East is a bit more predictable with about 4 beastmode teams, as it appears right now.

Here is what I think is an interesting peek at the depth of each club in real time: Contributing Players with points per club.

total Points/Club/Players with points

157.5 CAL 14

117.5 NYI 16

110 NYR 15

109 DET 11

106.5 CHI 11

102 BUF 11

98 VAN 15

97 NSH 13

96.5 CAR 12

94 VGK 9

92 ANA 8

82 COL 15

81 FLO 8

81 TOR 12

68 BOS 10

68 LAK 9

63 EDM 11

61.5 MIN 11

59 TBL 10

47 WPG 11

40 CBJ 12

39 WSH 10

36.5 NJD 7

36 OTT 5

Well I find it interesting anyways, Colorado has players firing rather even keeled, relative to the rest of the clubs. His scoreless players are Pastrnak, Bozak, Cizikas, Ritchie, Little, Holtby and Khubodin. Not exactly slackers.

So how does reseeding work exactly? Does the highest seed in the round robin automatically play the winner of the 8v9 round? And the bottom team play the winner of the 5v12? Or is it something else?

@Nail

Unless Nail chooses to do it differently, the highest seed in round robin would be playing the lowest seed remaining.

If we ended today, Colorado would play Vegas for example.

Son of a douche nozzle!!!!

Florida pulled ahead!

Hi @JE14

Other than Kubalik exploding on the first night, his team hasn't been showing up. Which is crazy, because it's a great team.

Same @Arbourshate's Caps. He's got an Andersen SO, and almost zilch from the rest of a seemingly stacked roster.

This is correct.

Cruising for a 25% shot at #1 overall

Holy crap didn’t realize this!

If things ended the same way, you and @Caboose would have a combined 50% to get #1!

Yep, so for the "1st round" we have:

The 1st placed team in the round robin will play the 4th highest seeded team to advance from the play-ins.

The 2nd placed team in the round robin will play the 3rd highest seeded team to advance from the play-ins.

The 3rd placed team in the round robin will play the 2nd highest seeded team to advance from the play-ins.

The 4th placed team in the round robin will play the highest seeded team to advance from the play-ins.

As for the draft lottery, we'll assign teams in our league to teams IRL, and whichever team wins 1st overall in the NHL will be the same team that wins 1st overall here.

The eliminated team with the lowest number of points from our regular season will be assigned to the eliminated team with the lowest number of points from the NHL.

The eliminated team with the highest number of points from our regular season will be assigned to the eliminated team with the highest number of points from the NHL.

Everyone else in between will be assigned accordingly, I think you all get the point

After Pick #1 is assigned, picks 9 to 15 will be auto assigned in reverse order of the standings, which will basically be the order of the assignments.
