Canuck Surfer
Was going through some team lists. How many years ago was it Bostn @JE14 , who is obviously good at this hockey pool thing, won the league? His list is chock full of, at the time, secondary draft picks and prospects. That are now emerging as premium assets; example Fagemo & Dugan. Dorofeyev, Kaprizov & lots more. No rebuild and one of the best prospect pools..

Popular Post Nail
Hey all, just wanted to touch base and make sure everything is well. I was thinking this could've been the time for a mean April Fools joke, but given the circumstances, that might not be the best idea While we are still in a waiting period to figure out what the real life NHL may do, the following deadlines have all been postponed: On 9/1/2019 at 11:36 AM, Nail said: April 1 - Three team NTC/NMC lists can be requested (requested only once until the next period) May 1 - Unsigned 2018 draft prospects become UFAs or re-enter draft (whichever applicable) Beginning of Conference Finals - Start of CDCFL Entry Draft ? - End of CDCFL Entry Draft ? - Start of 2 week buyout period June 15 - Last day to trade pending UFA rights June 22 - Last day to send in re-sign offers June 22 - Last day to qualify RFAs June 26 - First day to send in free agent offers ? - End of 2 week buyout period July 1 - First day of free agent signings Once I get a clearer idea on what will end up happening, we will make decisions on what we will do. I am still planning on giving teams an extra "benefit" once we come back because of this unfortunate pandemic, but am still trying to figure out when that will be. Stay tuned for more updates as we get updates from the NHL! 2 1

Monty
This no hockey thing has been a real bummer. But the Isles have had some positive news in regards to prospects and our roster next season, without any extensions in place (bold will either be on the club or in the AHL): Jakub Voracek - Nazem Kadri - Artemi Panarin Andreas Johnsson - Lars Eller - Patrik Laine Tyler Ennis - Zemgus Girgensons - Julien Gauthier Brendan Lemieux - Alex Barre Boulet - Alexander Barabanov Andreas Athanasiou Keith Yandle - Matt Dumba Jaccob Slavin - Rasmus Andersson Alec Martinez - Henri Jokiharju Chris Tanev - Justin Holl Scott Perunovich Carter Hart All bolded are possible new additions to the lineup, which means I won’t be going after any roster free agents once things resume. The one bolded player who is also in italics is Henri Jokiharju. He’s the one player who’s received the most attention in trade talks. If interested, the Buffalo defender indeed can be moved. However, I’d be looking at a minimum of a first round pick in return.

If there's an announcement about a real life draft, we'll probably have to kick things into high gear pretty fast (get all 2018 draftees signed, figure out conditional picks, etc) but we're still waiting on something in the NHL.

Popular Post Nail
Hey all! Just wanted to touch base with all, make sure everyone is still doing good! I have a number of unsigned prospect offers still sitting in my inbox, I will be posting these shortly. There are also some re-signing offers, I will bump these to make sure the teams are still interested in re-signing their players and will be following through with those as well. I have begun adding a column to our spreadsheets titled "Seattle". This column will show a Red sign if a player is to be exempt from the Seattle Expansion draft. Hopefully this will make it easier to begin planning your offseason, as we will be having our expansion draft in just over a year. If I haven't heard from you recently, feel free to reach out on CDC or Discord so I know you're still here! We're still not sure when things will kick back up but we still need to be prepared to complete our 2020 Entry Draft at any time should the NHL make a decision for an early June draft. Nail P.S. I did say that teams will be receiving an additional benefit(s) because of the pandemic shutdown, as many teams are now implicated salary cap wise (with the cap not going up at all now) or asset wise (after trading for rentals). I can say with 90% confidence that I will be implementing the following 2 benefits once the league officially resumes: 1. All teams will receive one free compliance buyout, to be used before the start of 2020 Free Agency, whenever that is. This buyout can be used on any player, including a player with a NMC. Compliance buyout players will become unrestricted free agents this summer. 2. All NMC/NTC/LNTC will be waived for a certain time period following the conclusion of this season. This will allow for promoted trading as teams will look to adjust their rosters however after this period is over, all clauses will go back into effect.
