They know they have an elite EP to play with, cash in big in 3 years vs sign an 8yr deal for 8m per now. I don't think it is any coincidence that news of Brock's Dad on the mend and a contract being signed happened on the same day. It is clear as day that Brock needed time with his family through that difficult experience. I hope his Dad continues to improve. It is nice to see a bridge contract after all these other long term deals being thrown around. He's betting on his health and performance towards a huge payday in three years. I hope he gets it.
