He's had some moments, but I still don't feel he's particularly likely to be playing many games this year. He's either the No. 9 or No. 10 guy behind Biega, Fantenerg, and maybe Sautner.

He and Juolevi might be our first call ups.

He can clear, and really that is all that matters atm, until space is cleared.

The only message it sends, is that this is a business, and well, too bad so sad.

Gaudette has earned a spot on this team long term, that's really all that matters.

I can see them waiving him briefly while they make room for him, like they did with Sketcher, but anything more then that would be egregious.

Time to rack up some confused faces....

I don't think Hughes has been amazing so far, and I think people need to be prepared to temper their expectations pretty significantly, at least in his first year. If we don't see a significant upgrade in his play over the course of the season I can't see him being anywhere near Calder consideration.

He needs his tanman.

Good game so far. Couple mistakes but positive overall.

Ferland puts a shoulder into guys every chance he gets. He alone ups the team physicality in a big way. Need more guys like him. I hope it rubs off on others. In addition, he showed he has some hands on his goal.

Myers got a bit physical too along with Beagle. Myers did make a mistake but no big deal.

Gaudette...man this kid has changed my mind. It would be easy to send him down as no waivers but he gets points every game and he has a great hockey IQ. I am now in the camp that we keep him and just waive some fodder like goldy.

Hughes quiet so far but no biggy. It will come.

Leivo also has some physicality and it probably helps with him playing with Ferland.

Baer gets the great pass to Gaud who sets up the goal.

Edler very solid.  And Marky playing very well. Demko has a lot of work to do to get anywhere near as good as Marky but Demko just needs xp hopefully.

Looking forward to the next period for sure!!!
