ep40 and whoever ends up playing with him the most

yup. At least this is the pairing that BETTER have the most impact.  If they don't, whether its through injury (knock on wood) or some kind of catastrophic sophomore slump, we are kind of screwed, no matter how well other lines do.

Eddie & Myers.

People are sleeping on how important that D pairing is going to be. 25 minutes a game they will be out there, doing hopefully good stuff. They will quite honestly make or break us as a whole.

Terrible defence leads to forwards needing to work harder AT defence, leaving less offence.

The biggest change will probably be either adding a bonafide top six guy in Miller or adding Hughes with Tanev, but I think the biggest overall effect will be EP and Boeser. I expect them to finish 1-2 in scoring again.

We already know Pety and Brock are going to put up points so that's really no surprise, but if Hughes gets say 40-50 points and both Hughes and Tanev have a good +- that could be more impactful to the teams success then Pety's and Brocks point totals

Well I was making a distinction between the biggest "change" and the biggest effect. Completely remove Tanev and Hughes vs completely remove EP and Boeser. Which one has a bigger effect?

Guess again

In all seriousness though, Petey + any player. The Swedish Gretzky Effect.

its going to be tough on opposing teams, they have to focus in on Petey's line with their best defence, and then their 2nd best get to try to handle Bo and Miller. No small task. Without Bo and Miller teams have a much easier time focusing in on Petey.

Tough to answer that, depending on who you replace them with. Defense wins Cups and yes you have to have offense as well but look at St. Louis last season not too many offensive stars, Pety is good as a defensive forward but Brock is mostly offense, yet but Hughes has great offense, hopefully, and Tanev is a excellent defensive defense man

I voted for Bo-Miller. Totally agree with Jimmy on this one. Last season teams eventually figured out Petey and Brock and managed to shut them down a lot of nights. This year, focusing in on Petey will just result in Bo and JT getting more opportunities against lesser competition. It has been a long time since Van had a top six that contained 6 NHL level top six players.
