At least this is the pairing that BETTER have the most impact. If they don't, whether its through injury (knock on wood) or some kind of catastrophic sophomore slump, we are kind of screwed, no matter how well other lines do. People are sleeping on how important that D pairing is going to be. 25 minutes a game they will be out there, doing hopefully good stuff. They will quite honestly make or break us as a whole. The Swedish Gretzky Effect. its going to be tough on opposing teams, they have to focus in on Petey's line with their best defence, and then their 2nd best get to try to handle Bo and Miller. Defense wins Cups and yes you have to have offense as well but look at St. Louis last season not too many offensive stars, Pety is good as a defensive forward but Brock is mostly offense, yet but Hughes has great offense, hopefully, and Tanev is a excellent defensive defense man Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

No small task. Without Bo and Miller teams have a much easier time focusing in on Petey. I voted for Bo-Miller. Totally agree with Jimmy on this one. Last season teams eventually figured out Petey and Brock and managed to shut them down a lot of nights. This year, focusing in on Petey will just result in Bo and JT getting more opportunities against lesser competition.
