Now it is happening with teachers in many parts of BC  being allowed to teach with zero teaching credentials.....

What happened to our once great province and why is BC always in race to the bottom in terms of wages....

Well... the population has doubled in the last 25 years or so. That’s a lot more competition for jobs.

Generally the government doesn't care about the bottom feeders a few dead bodies along the way meant cheaper goods for consumers.when BC does nothing but import goods they have to allow stuff like this to happen.

It's a shame that this is happening as some of the people that are applying for these jobs are being absolutely destroyed in terms of working slave hours and putting up every penny their family has in order to work and some don't even get paid.

A few West Abbotsford based companies (Mt Lehman, Fraser Highway area) are still at it in full force getting LMIA's from immigration consultants and exploiting poor working immigrants not to mention committing massive tax fraud.

Wish the CBSA and CRA would do something about it but they need to be exposed also as they just turn a blind eye.

Yeah, but we have a "birth crisis", heaven forbid rich companies would actually have to compete for workers for once and incentivize people to apply for jobs by offering a decent living... no... we have a birth crisis.

Guess this so called climate problem won't have a problem with another 7 billion people.

We have plenty of room in Canada you could add one million people to places like Edmonton Calgary Regina Winnipeg.

Absolute shame that this is being tolerated allowing the exploitation of poor working immigrants in hopes of providing a better future for their families and children and in return they get slaved working for what in most cases comes out to nearly half of minimum wage, and when they complain they're let go without getting all or even any of the pay they worked hard for over the months.

I know of many cases where these immigrants took on massive debt for the job and then at the end couldn't even buy bread to feed their children.

Trucking companies need to be put on notice for this.

This garbage is still going on today with no recourse I know of many people who have reported these companies and no one does a thing!

I’m not shocked by this at all, I used to work for a lumber reload facility in the early 2000’s and we would deal will immigrant truckers all the time, one of them over drinks spilled the beans on everything; they take a course back home on how to take advantage of our systems here (including welfare), when they got here were told where to go for a license(no training) and were taught how to evade scale stops and fudge log books. It’s a shame that people have taken our good nature as Canadians and abused it, but can’t say that nowadays without pitchforks coming out, I’m all for immigration but only if they are going to adhere and assimilate to our Canadian values, sadly that hasn’t happened and our country is worse off for it
