There was a time when Kirk McLean was the best goalie in franchise history, and he's in the Ring of Honour and not had his number retired (That's where Lu should be too). The problem with a franchise like the Canucks that's had 50 years of history and no cups, is that you start reaching for things to celebrate, and maybe some of those things are a bit of an overreaction/desperation move. Maybe Foote's big toe. I was a huge fan of Foote. Guy was a warrior, and had skill. Phillips was not nearly so effective a player as Foote. Harold Snepts made more of an impact on play than Phillips.
