I didn't see the pre 7pm portion of the opening celebration, but thankful that during the team introduction the Canucks chose not to introduce every team employee down to the team dogcatcher ala some of the other teams we've had to endure watching the opening ceremonies for.  How many trainers did the Flames have?  I think I stopped counting at 7.

Not with the media, but perhaps in the room he was a fantastic team guy. That's one of those "we'll never know" type things.

 

Though him being captain would have meant being interviewed by the media... which means he should have been captain. We'd have had no media left.
