Green says he holds players accountable

he did not hold Pearson accountable and he did not reward Jake and Ferland

can’t  stand him as a coach. He has his favourites and it’s obvious

we play marginal players while we waste away Gaud and Baer in Utica and even worse he does not make in game adjustments that make any degree of sense

we blow a 4 goal lead and Green just rationalizes it away and he will make zero changes and hope for the best. That is the extent of his limited coaching ability

real coaches like JQ and Tippett are getting it done with much weaker rosters

A real coach would have pulled Marky. Not because Marky was awful but because the team was awful and needed a break, reset and renewed focus. You don’t stand there and do nothing because you don’t want to hurt Marky’s feelings and instead just hope things miraculously settle down

this is where Green’s lack of ability shows. He is like a deer in headlights during a game. It’s like he freezes and can’t make rational decisions.

Blowing a five goal lead is tough to swallow. However the team is scoring goals, the kids look great, amd we're in a playoff spot despite having games in hand.

The sky is not falling people. We still got a point.

Got through the first few pages and then skipped to the end - nice to see a few level headed response on this site - we won’t win them all, scored 10 goals the last two games, come from behind score five in one period against one of the worst teams in the NHL and it’s cloud nine, blow a four goal lead against a top three team, Markstrom is garbage and the coach gets blasted and the sky is falling.    Glad I didn’t stay up to watch it or I’d probably also be posting silly crap.    That’s hockey on to the next one.

Do you always wake up this upset and negative? Relax man it's in the past, move on. Hopefully it is a lesson learned for all which may be more valuable than the point we lost.

Baertschi's cap hit is too high for us to call him up. Gaudette is better off playing in Utica than watching the Canucks play from the press box. He was the 13th forward no matter which way you slice it.

Quenneville and Tippet have weaker rosters lol? Florida has some studs and hardly a weaker roster and they have 2 less wins than the Canucks. The oilers have 2 of the Top 5 players in the world and Neal is scoring at like a 50goal pace.

It is 1 game out of 82. Plenty more to go.

We scored 5 goals against a top team.

Schooled? Come on now.

Friedman in his 31 thoughts has Washington adjusting systems and it's creating some defensive break downs.  They were tied 2nd for the most goals against before this game - 38 goals given up and now 43 to be the only team to have allowed that many already.

Not sure why you’d go to Pearson when Leivo was as the shootout hero last time. Bo should be going before Pearson...

Horvat was 2 for 3 in 2016/17 but hasn't scored in 8 attempts since that season.

Pearson was 2 for 6 (33%) before this game for Vancouver - scored vs Philadelphia and missed vs St-Louis.

Leivo is 2 for 4 (50%) since last season.

Your point is? So in the case of the Oilers you mentioned 3 players, so is that enough? Nope ... tippet is the difference. The team is playing a much better defensive system

in the case of the panthers their roster is nowhere near ours, quennville is the difference

You are dead wrong on the Baer cap statement , the team has room until Roussel is back.

gaudette should be in over Leivo

I see. So when Samsonov let in 5 and Caps coach did not pull him it was a brilliant coaching move to lull the Canucks into a false sense of security ultimately leading to a sneak attack-come from behind win-move. You have a brilliant hockey mind, why are you still at home?

News flash our goals didn’t come within a span of 10 minutes. Also Holtby played the night before and was in a third period collapse

you need to understand the flow of a hockey game

it would help if you played, would be easier to get the concepts. I am not insulting you just saying sometimes if you play the game you understand the nuances better

I can't believe the Canucks just became the first team in the history of the NHL to lose a game after being up like that!!! :frantic:

Sarcasm, of course. We dominated and then a recent Stanley Cup winning team came back to win in a SO. So what? We got a point, now let's move on to the next.

I come to this forum for pure entertainment and a constant reminder why the Canucks fans are a bottom 5 in the league. Up one day and everybody loves Marky down one bad game and everybody hates marky. This fan base has more mood swings then a teenaged girl.
