I wonder how many in the Wexit crowd will blame JT or the environmentalists protesters on this one.

Oil consumption to fall by largest volume on record, dealing fresh blow to oilpatch

Should we believe it though? Your same source has pointed out how much oil consumption will grow and you never believe it so..

Strome: I asked you how an independent Alberta would make my flight from Vancouver to Toronto longer and you said something about dependence on Us. I ask you to explain what you meant. You then posted something totally unrelated and said somebody else got it. Maybe you are trying to battle on too many fronts, but I am still waiting for an explanation of how my flight to Toronto would be longer if Alberta were independent. Answer the question.

@warhippy I will hold your hand again.

From 2016 middle of recession.

Albertans sent $49 billion worth of taxes to Ottawa in 2016, but only received $27.2 billion back in the form of federal spending.

This equates to a “gap” of $21.8 billion. On average, it means that, in 2016, every Albertan paid $5,265 more into Confederation than they get back.

It’s the largest single “gap” of any province. Ontario ranks in second place as a net contributor to Canada, but its “gap” is only $9 billion. Alberta’s chief enemy right now, B.C., also has a net loss in federal spending, although it was just $4.2 billion in 2016.

Where is this quote from? Calling BC Alberta's "chief enemy" sounds odd....

So your usual response to being asked for sources is "get it yourself".   When you do provide a "quote",  you dont provide a link so we can check if it came from an opinion piece, something you claimed to not do.

Lmao you know it's been said a bunch. Remember we will be off oil very soon right lol

not really, its Alberta vs the world. If you're not with them and all that.

Ryan gave the source.

It's the National Post, so no mystery there. That would have been my second guess, after the Calgary Herald.

Annnnndddd you still make zero sense. If your Alberta is going to be populated by people like you, Alberta is worse off than I thought.

In just 11 years, Albertans have paid out almost $240 billion to the rest of Canada.

That number is more than one-and-a-half times as much as B.C. and Ontario combined, whose taxpayers pitched in $54.6 billion and $97.9 billion respectively, the other two largest net contributors to the federal balance sheet.
