To be honest, I am open to the pipeline. I wish we didn't need it in 2020 but the reality is we do. I just think $1B over 20 years is a snooze. The potential gain was not really shared well in the video imo. I've not done enough research personally to see if there are more independent studies out there.

I agree but if oil does well everyone does well and that's the part I don't get......like that means Alberta can spend more money on research and so forth.

But instead b.c has set back all of Canada because of it.....

You have to realize that BC gov funds private school students at 50%.

So every time a kid moves from public to private the BC gov saves 5000 dollars...

100,00 private school students approx.

So BC governments  have  saved  500 million per year by destroying BC's public education system.....

NDP are carrying on the destruction done by the Liberals....

Its f£#$ing pathetic isn't it?

Sick of people without kids crying saying I don't want to pay for it. FU I don't want to pay for your health care. I'm as far right as they get, you know this but you know I have repeatedly said properly pay teachers, doctors and nurses they build a stronger future for everyone.

BC has legitimate concerns, but it also has a lot of people that will just scream to be heard. It's a tough game to play.

Yes, Ryan  i totally respect your ability to see the big picture and invest in health care and education.  You are 100 % right on this.

Most citizens are basically just to dumb to realize it saves you money to invest in prevention and education... otherwise you will pay in ER bill, policing, Unemployment , welfare... etc...

I agree and spills do worry me but pipelines have came a long way.

Sometimes you have to be the bad guy and put the country needs before one province and when the good out weigh the bad then to me that's an easy choice.

But im not even old enough to be PM lmfao

you have to be 30 + right to be PM?

BC actually spends 1700 per child per year  less than the CDN average....

For a classroom of 30 kids.. that means they get 51,000 per year...

So keep the poor stupid?.....

Yes, i think that is part of the plan.

Keep BC citizens poorly educated to do low skill low pay jobs..

Imported skilll workers from other countries that are willing to work cheap.

Corporate profits can soar.

Welcome to BC.      Alabama of the North

I've read studies where private schools actually have lower average grades on standardized tests, however higher average grade marks. Perhaps it's just paying for an easier admission into a top University.

Yes, i think that is part of it.  Private schools may have poorer quality teachers due to less union protection.... and at times less benefits on their contracts....

Or, it could be the incentive why would I pay $10,000 a year if my kid isn't getting a good "grade"?

Most public school teachers I had were completely useless as well.
