Funny you and I have different views on who the "cry baby morons" are.

Hmm

Stromes side Loses an election:  We're leaving, this is crap, we know the reason that we're unhappy is largely in part due to provincial fiscal mismanagement, killing off the NEP 40 years ago and the most recent tampering of the equalization formula via jason kenney and the conservatives but we're leaving anyway and it's the liberals fault.

Everyone else:  Posting credible verifiable information that immediately gets ignored and derided as "fake"

Ya man, you're right.  We have very different views on who the stupid people crying about things are

If you are so miffed by us BCers going on about Alberta, there are other threads you can comment in.  You do realize that you are participating and fueling the fire that you now decry.

Quebec isnt trying to push a project on us that many don't want. It has nothing to do with $, we don't get equalization.

Quebec doesn't have to push anything, it would be approved regardless of what BC thought.  Again it's Ottawa pushing it but I guess as a liberal voter it's easier to blame Alberta?

I never said you get equalization, you use to thanks to a decade of the ndp, however you also contribute very, very little compared to Alberta.

If the discussion were about the thread title, sure. You and Jim will have a discussion others, particularly hippy just get angry when you disagree with them or when you offer them facts they disregard it.

We were moving yup.

But look at the proposed budget over the next 4 years.  The endless cuts.  The lack of any actual plan by Kenney and now the threat of a referendum.

Think times are tough now?  Oil is not coming back and you elected a buffoon with a bag of lies to lead you

It's not obsession, it's pure fact.  But news flash.  You're not leaving the nation.  Your leaders are to afraid and your populace too stupid to go through with it.  Sorry Yoko, the band is staying together

What facts do you offer?  Some you posted, in another thread?  That you can't find to link or share?

The CDC equivalent of "my girlfriend's in another school"

You don't post facts, you post opinion and derision towards other people's facts that show you're wrong

It wasn't Ottawa fanning the flames here, it was people like Redford.

and that last bit is very untrue. And there is no such thing as "Alberta" when it comes to personal federal taxation.

1) any and all cuts still leave funding to everything well ahead of BC. So you make no sense.

2) couldn't you move back if we separated? Btw JKs threat is holding a referendum on pulling Alberta out of equalization. So you fail again.

3) demand is growing every day. Alberta /Canada just get a reduced rate because of pipeline capacity. Look up WCS. Another swing and a miss for hip.

4) No facts at all. Pure obsession.

5) Doesn't 5 contradict 2? And that's a strike out hip. Go sit on the bench.

Just for fun: you said you weren't moving here before the budget came out. So if we aren't leaving as you said and you said you aren't moving here before the budget came out doesn't it show you're full of BS?

It absolutely does.

Nope wrong again.

Tell me more about the "National democratic party " or how about when you claimed "Harper made pensions easier." I provided facts in both cases to prove you wrong. You couldn't even man up and admit you were wrong. It was again the hip magic show doing his disappearing act.

Compare what every individual in Alberta pays in and what every individual in BC pays in. Sure we make more so we pay more and Albertans have done so for decades but now when BC and Ottawa f@%k us we shouldn't pay more. I hope we split, they will have to rework equalization and it will be BC getting screwed or a 12% gst for everyone. Doubtful any federal government will impose that tax they will just rework the formula to screw BC and appease Ontario and Quebec. Hell Ontario is a have province and recieved money like wtf??

if the 40 billion dollar LNG plant actually gets up and running, then yeah, it probably will be that revenue making up the AB short fall. Maybe we even do some offshore drilling off BC, apparently there's quite the opportunity there too.

But when you say  "&^@# us" when Alberta has been in the position to gain so much for so long, yeah it makes you look a little selfish. Canadian systems have created the opportunity to exploit that wealth that Albertans have received the most benefit from.

Part of the Alberta mythos is that you guys "gave us" money. Its kind of insulting. You didn't, I didn't, we just paid our taxes as individuals. Please stop using that term, you didn't give a cent.

You really didn't address much but to the bolded Canadian systems didn't create squat. Justin's dad almost bankrupted Alberta and caused many hard working Albertans major pain and suffering.

Ftr BC probably has the most natural resources and yet you guys sit in the middle of the pack, why? BC doesn't need all their taxes you guys could be so much richer.

Btw the oil off the west coast should be a no go.

Or does BC now support offshore oil drilling?

Lmao

A lot of factors contributed to that situation in AB, a lot of it had to do with people over extending themselves and global interest rate inflation. To put it all on PET is massive revisionist history.

Its sad to me that you don't have a realistic view of the Canadian context and how Alberta was able to blossom within it. If thats really how you view Canada I can see why separation would make sense to you.

So how was PET responsible for the other two oil prices crashes?
