I hope Sven gets to play, and rips it up tonight.  It's crappy our farm team is so friggin far away, and such a hard place to get to and from.  Hopefully, Sven has legs.  Travel from East to West is nasty.

I think Gaud will sit tomorrow.

Leivo can play both sides so if he shifts to the RW, it will cause the least amount of stir in the lineup.

But if Gaud scores a couple tonight and have a big game, Baer might have to wait for another opportunity.

Gaud is going to have his legs sitting out. I think he's going to get a run of games until the injured guys return otherwise they could've just kept him in Utica. I suspect barring another injury or a losing streak that Baer might not see any games. We called him up as injury depth not because we need a shake up on offense. If Gaud plays well then even less likely.

Not sure why or how Baer would surpass those above him at this point with our team as hot as it's been.

Eriksson. Pearson to third, Gaudette on 4th.

Unless the team has a personal vendetta against LE and want him to sit, then sure. Otherwise as far as optics go, LE beat Baertschi for a roster spot, so not sure why he would supplant him now. LE has filled in on the 4th line fine so far.

No one beat Baertschi for a roster spot - it was already decided in the summer that they were moving on.  They don't see him as a bottom-6 player and had filled up the top-6.

Why would they recall him to be a press-box extra.  One of their prospects could use that extra cash and the experience.

Because he's done well in Utica and remained a professional and thus the next call up after Gaudette. I assume he was one of the last cuts and therefore the "next in line". I can understand if we are looking for a shake up on offense to slot him in, but that isn't the case. He's depth at this point and the team is performing well enough that I see no reason to sit someone out for him.

So you're suspecting this is a showcase call up? Because I don't see any spots in the bottom 6 or top 6 that he could slide into at the moment and bump out someone on a hot team currently.
