That’s a big mobile D that can transition the puck. Those top 4 guys are smart, block shots, and make your life miserable around the net. It was a competitive game and I’m sure a good learning experience. Green loves the heavy guys ( schaller, Pearson , Leivo ) just coz they can operate in games like this. it would have been nice to have a healthy Ferland in this game. hawks game will be a track meet compared to this. His speed is exactly what we need in OT. But we’ll probably see Eriksson in OT before Jake gets a shot....cuz that’s how Green works. And I’d probably give Stecher a shot in OT over Tanev and Myers.
