Yeah. He was axed from Sportsnet 650 in a bit of an underhanded move but TSN 1040 snatched him up right away.

To be fair at this stage of their careers Fantenberg>Chatfield. Also wouldn't make much sense to keep Fantenberg on the 23 man roster than play call-ups over him.

that would be awesome. It would make things pretty interesting trade-wise later this season.

Good for Chatfield. Great story and hopefully he can get into a game. Undrafted d-man who, when we signed him, was said to be Tanev-lite. Let's see what this kid's got. Though, he'll probably ride the bench and Fantenberg will get a few games.

I think this probably really motivates Chatfield as well. Being around the big team, soaking up the atmosphere, learning. Not only will he be paid well, it`ll encourage him to push hard to make the team down the road.
