The amount of whining and overdramatic handwringing in this thread is unbelievable. Green was right. I saw a third period where we were getting beaten up by a hard forechecking team that looked like an equally skilled team that wasn’t missing their entire contingent of gritty players like we are. It was tough to watch but I expected this would be a tough game and we were still in it until the end. We havent played many bad games over the first 20. Marky let in a couple softies but who can blame him for maybe not being on top of his game, but also not going to throw the Green under the bus to play him as he has to play and he wants to play. What with the Edler bashing? He gets played the minutes because he is truly our best D man overall and any other coach would do the same. He signed for 6M and worth it. Myers, Benn and Schaller made mistakes on the 2 goals that Marky had no chance on. Bottom line is without Sutter, Beagle, Motte and Ferland we are challenged way more defensively. They protect and help high-light the Petey's, Brocks, and Hughes talent that we have. It would be great to see Demko back in on a rotation and hope for a win Saturday! I felt like they were playing a good game, a better game than Dallas, it's just that the Stars capitalized on Canucks brainfarts. Oh well 25% of our actual roster is injured right now. Been an Edler fan for along time but he has been struggling, just watch the highlights during this slump... Puts his body on the line for the team and always has. But..........could we PLEASE leave him on the bench when we have a pp. Why not try Myers or Stecher - someone who can get the shot through instead of his shot dying on the shins of the opponent (as it often does and often creates a 2 on 1 against). 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
