Not sure why people are talking about needing something from Sven. That line is literally the only one that's consistently been able to do anything in the offensive zone. Baer has been part of a few chances, and his smart play(something everyone else seems incapable of doing right now,) directing the puck towards the net caused the second goal. Meanwhile every other line is silent.

Our top guys really have to stop reading and listening to all their accolades. It's throwing their game off.  They haven't won anything yet they have a long season ahead. So I hope our top young guys are not letting the positive press get to their heads.

Makar is already one of the best Dmen in the game, and he's in his rookie season. The Aves are going to be cup contenders for a long time with the elite talent they have, and any illusions of anyone other than Makar winning the Calder this year are just that...illusions.

They try too many passes and don’t crash the net enough just work on the screens.   That said it won’t be on every night - and there is still a period left ....and they can be dangerous.  When we had the number one PP in the league back in 2011, the league figured it out and it was the second unit that helped carry it - nothing wrong with having two effective units.   Think the guys aren’t used to playing with a guy like Hughes yet either - in time it will click - and EP getting stronger will help too.  BB missing the puck entirely... just off today

there is NO reason Gaud should not have been on the opening night roster just like there is no reason he should now come out of the lineup

Not if the cap has anything to say.  At best they have a two or three year window...
