I was almost more impressed with the way AV had the Flyers playing than not Impressed with the way we were playing last night (if that makes any sense). They kept us to the outside real well, for long stretches our only efforts were meaningless point shots that couldn't get through traffic. I think Philly is in for some good years with a pretty good group of young players and AV at the helm.

We stopped skating with the puck, pressured then did blind pass give aways, didnt even forecheck to pressure them when we were man up..

It was really hard not to notice our poor effort.

Flyers just skated around our players who were basically reaching and beaten to the puck.

There was one time when Konecny in our zone had 3 guys on him.. the whole line of LE, JV and Graovac.

Konecny came out of the corner with the puck. This happened in the 3rd period I cannot recall at what minute. But it was televised.

Agreed, they played a classic AV game and gave the Canucks no space in the last 40

Top 3 things to take away that game

3. Miller was the best forward on the ice.

2.Demko played arguably his best game as a Canuck in the loss.

1. This is a rare sight but it was in the 1st period.

The 2nd gif is what he looked like when the game ended.

Ya, those TPS sticks are crap.

I distinctly remember being at hockey practice in the early 2000s, and one kid on the team had one of those TPS "rubbers"...

Everybody was taking turns flexing it, the thing nearly bent to the floor and always bounced back up again.

I was the goalie, so I wanted in on the action and tried it out. The stick snapped in half immediately upon impact.

My Dad had to buy the kid a new stick, and I was grounded for a week.

Crap indeed!

Chortling gleefully whenever the Canucks lose and disappearing whenever they win doesn't exactly scream "fan".

Disappearing whenever they win? Right.. I gave them credits when they had a hard fought good win. Those are few and far. I've been critical of the teams makeup and strategy for years now. While every "fan" is all giddy up and delusional that we are better than our current record indicated this year and last year and blame injuries every season. Secondary scoring doesnt exist on this team and it never existed for 4-5 years now hence we finished near bottom of the league in scoring. We keep talking about improvement on offense.. ferland and miller solidifies our top 6.. yet we scored less goals than last year at the same point even with a bunch of 5-6 goals game. At least last year we can say the team played hard for 60mins.. so far and especially the last couple weeks? The effort isn't even there for 60 mins. Also why are you stalking me? You feel like quoting me out of the blues and then follow me around to look up every single one of my post to see if I disappear during wins? Lol

@CptCanuck16

I merely stated Loui up until last season was playing well defensively (which is true) was being used on our PK which was performing well (which is true) But was massively not performing to his contract (which was obviously true)

I never “gushed over him like a teenage girl”, I never called him a PK “specialist”

So try coming at me with facts and an actual point, instead of lying and acting like an ass ok?

You were one of the few that tried to lecture the "bad" fans. Wich is nice. :metal:

Lines in practice:

Leivo-Pettersson-Boeser

Miller-Horvat-MacEwen
Pearson-Gaudette-Virtanen
Schaller-Graovac-Eriksson
Sutter

Edler-Myers
Hughes-Tanev
Benn-Stecher
Fantenberg

If we lose the next game with Leivo on the top line, we are going to hear about it for sure. Hell even if we win, I'm sure we will hear about it.

Oh but the people complaining about Jake being on the 4th line aren't going to notice his promotion out of the 4th line.
