hlinkas wrister
I was almost more impressed with the way AV had the Flyers playing than not Impressed with the way we were playing last night (if that makes any sense). They kept us to the outside real well, for long stretches our only efforts were meaningless point shots that couldn't get through traffic. I think Philly is in for some good years with a pretty good group of young players and AV at the helm.

We stopped skating with the puck, pressured then did blind pass give aways, didnt even forecheck to pressure them when we were man up.. It was really hard not to notice our poor effort. Flyers just skated around our players who were basically reaching and beaten to the puck. There was one time when Konecny in our zone had 3 guys on him.. the whole line of LE, JV and Graovac. Konecny came out of the corner with the puck. This happened in the 3rd period I cannot recall at what minute. But it was televised.

Popular Post smithers joe
we need 22 jt millers. i hope for training purposes the team has to sit and watch that game in it’s entirety. hopefully they learn something from it. dump and chase only works when players are going full tilt when puck is dumped in. if they are standing on the blue line when puck is dumped in, they are just giving the puck away. if they go into board battles and consistantly don’t come up with the puck, they are giving the puck away. to me, the telling story is the number of times per game, they miss passes, lose puck battles and can’t control the puck. my question is, do they lack those skills, are playing a system they can’t sustain or are they not having chemistry with their line mates or defense? i’ld love to sit down with green and ask him these questions. 4
spur1
Kind of looked like AV was using a man to man system with very tight checking which left little time and space to make good plays.

Agreed, they played a classic AV game and gave the Canucks no space in the last 40

This teams record against team competing for the playoff is atrocious. Scoring against decent teams is non existent and yet we want to talk about how this team is actually good and better than their record indicate recently. Chortling gleefully whenever the Canucks lose and disappearing whenever they win doesn't exactly scream "fan". 2

EP Phone Home
Top 3 things to take away that game 3. Miller was the best forward on the ice. 2.Demko played arguably his best game as a Canuck in the loss. 1. This is a rare sight but it was in the 1st period. The 2nd gif is what he looked like when the game ended. Edited November 26, 2019 by EP Phone Home

I distinctly remember being at hockey practice in the early 2000s, and one kid on the team had one of those TPS "rubbers"... Everybody was taking turns flexing it, the thing nearly bent to the floor and always bounced back up again. I was the goalie, so I wanted in on the action and tried it out. The stick snapped in half immediately upon impact. My Dad had to buy the kid a new stick, and I was grounded for a week. Crap indeed!

Disappearing whenever they win? Right.. I gave them credits when they had a hard fought good win. Those are few and far. I've been critical of the teams makeup and strategy for years now. While every "fan" is all giddy up and delusional that we are better than our current record indicated this year and last year and blame injuries every season. Secondary scoring doesnt exist on this team and it never existed for 4-5 years now hence we finished near bottom of the league in scoring. We keep talking about improvement on offense.. ferland and miller solidifies our top 6.. yet we scored less goals than last year at the same point even with a bunch of 5-6 goals game. At least last year we can say the team played hard for 60mins.. so far and especially the last couple weeks? The effort isn't even there for 60 mins. Also why are you stalking me? You feel like quoting me out of the blues and then follow me around to look up every single one of my post to see if I disappear during wins? You were one of the few that tried to lecture the "bad" fans. Wich is nice.

Hell even if we win, I'm sure we will hear about it. Oh but the people complaining about Jake being on the 4th line aren't going to notice his promotion out of the 4th line.
