Welcome to the Elite Keeper League, where we can hone our skills at running a full fledged big league operation and join the ranks of the ELITE! I will keep this league running full steam ahead with daily updates, and doing my very best to make sure things run smooth and up to date. I am honored to have been given the reigns to this league and I hope to not disappoint. I am always open to new suggestions, looks or anything really. Tylez had re-done some wording for the 2019/20 CBA , and I will be working on the 2020-21 version. Primal Optimist Posted November 26, 2019 Author Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) SIgnings and News ~Beginning with the 2020-2021 season ELC SLIDES will count towards the 50 contract limit: but the SLIDE will still benefit clubs by allowing you to basically keep the player on the cheap contract at least one extra year (or two if you do em back to back; hint hint)...invaluable if used right, which is why the league is adding those contracts in 2020-21 to the total count which must at all times be below 50. This helps us keep assets available for rebuild clubs and those in need of talent. ~all GM's may sign prospects whose rights expire this coming May 1st starting now...the values are predetermined by a chart. Please note if you wish their contract to begin in this season or begin next year! The deal includes a Modified No Trade Clause in the 24/25 season and beyond(the players 8th pro season thank you Caboose for catching this): upon request the player must furnish a list of ten teams he will NOT accept a trade to. I will keep this rule in mind going forward, however I am interpreting it with the NHL in mind and so clauses may kick in for an 8th season if the bridge deal straddles that point in time. Better wording added that keeps the spirit with more intuitive definition. Quote 3.8.2 - Restricted Free Agents Players who are under 27 years old and have spent less than 7 seasons in the NHL will be classified as Restricted Free Agents.
