Say this as a joke, but it is a good year to keep our 1st. Lol.

If Green is the coach of this team to start next season I'll be very surprised. If the Canucks miss the playoffs this and next season that's Benning gone as well as Greener's. With that said very rarely do GMs get to bring in more than 2 head coaches. Fired Torts, let Willie go, and potentially firing Green.

Well to be fair, Torts was a Linden firing so JB's hand are clean on that one.

Willie can he argued as more of a Linden hiring so JB can wiggle himself out of that.

So Green can be said to be JB's first coach.

I'm a big fan of Benning.  Love his drafting, the way that he structures the whole scouting organization-wide and his trades/signings.

He hits on at least three signings for every one miss.  We are seeing some 5th, 6th and 7th round picks that are emerging as being able to make the leap to the pros (AHL, NHL).

Benning has at least two more years before we even bring that up, in my opinion.

That makes the loss that much worse.

Ya,

It was tough to take but we are a young team, missing some of our solid vets, playing our back up vs a team that is doing pretty good.

our future is still bright

learn and move on.

Why would Willie be a Linden hire?  Benning was hired first (as a GM should be).  Benning stuck with Willie for three seasons.  He's his.

So where are the Green supporters now?

- for some unknown reason he decides Demko is his number 1 goalie after Marky wins 2 in a row

-he does not pull Demko after it was clear he was shaky (JG and Malkin goals were bad) and the team was collapsing. Instead he waits until the game was already tied

- he challenges the offside then shakes his head like he knows he has no hope. Great poker player move. basically tells Toronto he knows it’s a good goal...and if he knew that he takes a 2 minute penalty

Travis Green is not a good coach

He demonstrated it tonight

Slow down the replay and you can see the skater on the left wing had his skate up on entry.

There was a case to be made there.

You do not make that call late in the third , one goal down unless you are 99% sure they will overturn it . There is no way to defend that call. Absolute stupidity.
