That game could have gone either way.

Oilers had some great looks throughout.

Canucks a bit sloppy at times.

Would like to see Myers play like this more often.  He's certainly capable of it.

Solid 50 minute effort. Just need to tighten up that rough start to the second

Didn't think it was a rough start to the 2nd as much as the coil came out on a mission. They weathered that and took control of the game back.

At least Jake did not score.

Lord help us if he has a 5 goal night!

Tippett got outclassed tonight for sure.

5 regular forwards out of the lineup.

1 top pair D out of the lineup.

Still worked the magic against the top team in the division.

Nice seeing Erikssom try and look noticeable. Not 6M noticeable but better than what we’ve seen.

I wonder who.... If he's a lucky mascot or if he's good at give his linemates some security I don't know.

Just look at Pearson, scores even when Loui was out. :bigblush:

When we signed a 30-35 goal scorer we didn't think that was going to be the total for the contract.

Uhh...Loui...when you said 30 goals, we were kinda hoping that was per season.

Fantenberg is left handed. I know that Travis prefers to play Dmen on their correct sides due to the speed of the game. Back when I played I didn't care, there were benefits to playing the off side, like walking the blueline forward and having a better angle for shots and passes, but hearing Friedman and Marek on their podcast I realized something that I hadn't thought of, the first pass as you come around the your net is either on your backhand or delayed which with the speed of the game is significant.

thats a really good point. I think with injuries tho its nice to have guys that have played both sides even if not ideal. I haven't seen enough of Fantenberg to know if he's able to deal with this situation better than other lefty's, I suspect he's not a liability on the right side since we've only carried him as our 1 backup d most of the season.
