The Wild on a 10 game point streak and back in the playoff race after being the worst team in October.

Emergency recall goalie Kakhonen gets his 2nd win in as many NHL games played.  Dubnyk is not on the road trip as his wife is dealing with a serious medical situation.   They lost Spurgeon to a possible broken hand in the 1st period and Koivu was not able to finish the game.

Problems with attendance in Philly??

A game between a white hot Flyers team and a highly-skilled and talented Toronto Maple Leafs team with some of the brightest stars in the sport – should draw just 15,811 fans.

Let that number sink in for a second – 15,811 at Wells Fargo Center, a building that averages close to 20,000 per game for Flyers hockey since it opened in 1996.

And the worst part of it is, that is the announced paid attendance. The building wasn’t even that full. The number of actual butts in seats, which the team never releases publicly, was likely in the 12-13,000 range.

If not for our Canadian fanatical love of hockey the NHL would not exist.  US franchises bleed money.  Americans will never truly understand our game.  I’d rather have teams in Europe, where there are real hickey fans.

Edmonton and LA loses....  I know Kings are last, but they're only 8 points behind us/the pack.  Great night for us

We just need Arizona, Calgary, Anaheim and Edmonton to keep on losing.

I don't think that we'll be able to beat out Sharks and Knights when all is said and done, at least not this year :)

Surprising considering that they are usually number 3 in the league for attendance (at least from the last 2 seasons).

It might have something to do with the fact that they have no perceived star players in their prime. They have some good players don't get me wrong but no one screams star player (in their prime). Our attendance actually has been declining every season since 2013-2014. This season is the first season it's actually going up (so far). The same thing might have happened to us if we didn't get petterson, boeser, miller and hughes. Benning's drafting has saved this franchise from the same fate as in 2017 we hit rock bottom when we had the least fans attend a game since 2001 or something. Then we drafted Petterson and everything changed.

WTG, Sens.  No points for McDoobie, 1 of 7 on the PP.

I guess they lost to "a team like that"....
