I predict another win. The Canucks didn’t give Edmonton’s only legitimate line much in the way of space and probably won’t again tonight.

The soilers are a one line team, the Canucks aren’t. Fantenberg will take the opportunity and run with it.

I don't think we will win.

We're without Edler and McDrisaitl are gonna come out guns blazing.

Hopefully the young guns step up and Marky stands on top of his head again.

Kassian and Russel are out as well as Smith so that starts to even the game up

and dont forget ....... we have ERIKSSON.

Barring no more injuries, and despite his 4 point game last night, where does Pearson fit with this team?

These are the lines as I see them with everyone healthy:

Miller Petey Boeser

Jake Bo Gaudette

Roussel Sutter Ferland

Schaller Beagle Motte

There has to be a trade coming at some point to break the winger logjam, no?

is that ever a thing though?

Still I could see a trade happening too

That assumes a completely healthy forward group, which may not happen.

To me, Pearson has a spot just as much as Jake, Roussell, Schaller, and Motte.  If there is some long term health, then yes, a trade is probably coming.  Short term, it's not hard to rotate the above 5 with the odd healthy scratch when rest is shown to be needed.

Why would Pearson (on pace for 50+ points, 20+ goals and plays a reasonably heavy game - 6th on the team in hits) be edged out by anyone in that bottom 9?

We just went through a period where 5 of our forwards were injured and we struggled as a team. Trading away forwards after that seems like a step backwards. We need depth for injuries. No trades needed, especially not a guy on pace for 50 points.

Tell that to the cap.

We can trade a player like Pearson and still utilize existing depth.
