Lost most of my early pictures in a computer crash.  But here are a few pics I've taken of Burr over the years (the one with Luc was salvaged as I'd posted it online).

 

 

This one's a favourite because he took a shot at us (he knew my friend) and knocked my water bottle, etc. off the ledge.  Bullseye.  (Not supposed to put stuff on the ledge...lesson learned).

Already wrecked...going to buy waterproof mascara then try to do some work before the verklempt takes over (woops, too late).  Enjoy the game everyone.  Slay as many dragons as possible today.

Coincidence? 

Awesome. I’m a sucker for dad stories of all kinds. 

 

I recall how powerful and connected I felt in those early days of being a father, those days just before the baby came. I was superman. Maybe I felt that way because I knew I was a small nothing next to what she was... so I had raised my game...?

 

The due dates were distracting and had me fully of wonder, but not of doubt or insecurity.

 

I am always impressed with the way professional hockey players handle their nerves and manage to put out memorable games while their wives are elsewhere, doing painful things that us men can only make jokes about. Burrows had the game of his life, but so did his wife. I can relate then and thank her for inspiring him to score that one goal. 

 

Here’s to the hockey wives and hockey moms.

Usually I don't make it past the first 2 pages before reading one of those. lol

The Province is reporting that Roussel is expected to play tonight. They're showing him in a projected lineup on a line with Gaudette and Leivo.

Not going to lie, but I was expecting at least one of Sutter/Beagle back for the last few games already. Hope one of them plays tonight.

Loved the story of how him and Kes we’re driving to the rink together the day of the Game 7 win against the Blackhawks in 2011 and they kept talking about how they weren’t going to lose that night and sure enough, he’s the one to score that big goal.

Interesting that Roussel draws in on Burrow ROH night. He reminds me more of Burrows that anyone else on the team....

Both the presentation and Roussel should give everyone a good shot of adrenaline tonight including all you "shut ins who can't get out to the game tonight"
