The Pens have been without Sidney Crosby for the last 18 games yet they're still 11 games above .500 on the season,  7-3 in their last 10, +27 goal differential, and on a 4 game win streak.  

 

Do you know why that is? Because they play a solid team game with excellent offensive and defensive systems.  Watch their breakouts tonight compared to the Canucks.  TG should take notes.

That and it keeps the other 3 forward lines together, which I’m guessing is the point of this lineup.
 

IMO it’s a good thing considering the chemistry they have shown together.

By far our best Offensive line. Not a fan of putting all of our apples in one basket, but so far more successful than splitting them up.  

Roussel-Gaudette-Virtanen
Fantastic 3rd line. Great chemistry. 

Schaller-Beagle-Motte

Undeniable chemistry. Great shutdown 4th line. Have played fantastic together. 

 

 

...and if that doesn’t work there is always the Green Blend-o-matic 3000.

I feel bad for Bo. Guy gets a decent running mate and concussions derail him. Now he gets the carousel of linemates, although when Pearson is on he's a good complimentary winger just not a bonafide top 6 guy in my books. Podkolzin can't come soon enough. Pearson Horvat and Pod would be nasty on the forecheck and around the net.
