Edmundson likely wont be moved.

Mtl just added scandella/

If mtl trades price to carolina their demand will be Sebastien Aho.

Hearing Hamilton broke his leg.  Canes will be looking for D.

I actually like the Canes as a trade partner with us.

Pearson, Tanev for Van Riemsdyke and their, unprotected, 2020 first rounder.

This a proposal that fully admits we are not, truly, ready to compete in the playoffs and are still building our prospect pool.

This is a sell high proposal that relieves our cap and regains our lost first round pick which still could become a lottery pick.

Pearson  has been a vital part of our resurgance to the top of the Pacific division but, imo, he's not part of our longterm plans. We deal him now while his value is elevated. He' s also got 2 years left on his deal, at a great cap number which, greatly benefits the Canes.

Tanev has been a great part of our team but again, imo, he's not a part of our longterm future. He adds great support to a good dcore, making it more formidable.

We take back Van Riemsdyke, purely, to clear their cap for the adds and let him walk at the end of the season.

We reinsert both Baertschi and Benn in to the lineup and ride it out.

Poor ol' Bergie & the gang..My FREE advice unheeded = opportunity Squandered!

So now Weber's out, eh? Here we go again.

Shoulda' sold around New Yr's, when his value was the highest(for a short spell), it'll likely ever be again. I bet WPG or EDM would've given some nice youth. Instead they fiddle around with LA scraps, in hopes of dredging up another 2nd rounder.

You've already WON the Subban deal, just by dealing away that egotistical headcase. Now a GM needs the bravery to recycle that gain into upcoming youth.

With this tepid, ineffective GM'ing, welcome to the no-man's-land of NHL middle ground(drafting 10th-15th OA) for a half decade perhaps. Halfway gestures will get you part way there, because fortune favours the brave.
