He's good down low & he can prolong O-zone time for Tanner & Bo. That line grinds & Loui can fit in that style. Eriksson on your 2nd line is not ideal, but he's contributing to a winning lineup. Can't take that away from him. For all the hate on Eriksson its nice to see him having a purpose & contributing to a winning group. (finally) Hes probably coming out of the lineup though when Ferland comes back

Bure also with amazing numbers (the only one on the list with a better points per game average than Petey). Petey was born in November so he still has 10 months to pile up more points to move up that list. Its possible he comes out as high as 2nd if he rocks it lol. How are we going to fit Leivo and Ferland when they return though. somethings got to give. You can't have too much depth for a run, either to make the playoffs or win a series. Need more healthy bodies back. Let coach worry about who plays.

Give his brain a chance to heal. I still believe he can be a good player for us if we handle this correctly. Play him too soon and it could literally end his career. Not worth the risk to the player or the team. 1 6
Popular Post hobart16
Like that lineup. Boeser was very good on his line, Sutter very good on his line. Louis is doing ok and that line is totally reliable. Virtanen doesn't have to carry the puck as much on the first line and can finish plays rather than start/create them. Plus he adds some rock em sock em to that line. If canucks get Roussel and Beagle going a bit better we will be scary. Only beef for me was Fantenberg struggling again in sheltered minutes. We may need to give Rafferty a chance. Anybody see Raffs goal from last night. Looked like Bobby Orr. 2 1 2

Perhaps trades is in works or wait until trade deadlines and we'd have unlimited roster with same team. We'd be over the cap so someone might need to go down and it can't be Gaudette as he is not exempted. So it is more likely a trade talk is in works. Call up one of D that is NHL-ready from Utica and trade Benn for a picks or a prospects. I suspect that we would still have some room as only Ferland is on LTIR which takes away the cap hit. Leivo is not expected back until nearing or after trade deadlines and maybe with unlimited roster after that day he could be loaned to Utica for conditioning, that will give us time to sort out something. If we trade away Benn and Schaller, we are actually under cap even with Ferland coming back. Those are options that Benning to ponder on at a later date. It was a reference to how good Linden was when he broke into the league as an 18 year old. He was a very good player and captain for this team. I’m going to guess you are either too young to have watched him play live early in his career and/or are purely focused on the stats/ppg and not the intent behind my statement, which was to point out to those that may not be old enough to have remembered him play just how good he was 88-94. 3

Gaudette has had a good season, cooled off a bit lately. Eriksson has been earning his spot on the roster right now. Many have been calling for chemistry for the lines and they are showing good chemistry lately playing shutdown and providing solid secondary scoring.
iceman64
No matter what, make the playoffs or no, the team is learning to play together without a huge rash of injuries (knock on wood) although some this season of course and enough for Green to have his hands full juggling the lines and seeing how the new guys and rookies play together, and it's hardly over yet but we're still not there getting used to each other BUT as time goes on and new players come in but not to the degree that JB had to do anymore. Sure, it'll continue to happen as we shed some contacts and sign others plus players like JV finally hitting his stride and having our top 6 look pretty good and depth to step in when necessary is going to be a lot of fun to watch.. Then it'll be challenging the elite teams we lost to before, and turning them into wins will make all the difference. Just hold on to something, the ride is going to get to another level soon, hey mister Stanley, vancouver is calling! On hold? Ok we just need a bit more time anyway but pack your bags sir! Your long overdue..
Melbourne Canuck
Boeser’s ice time tonight and in the last period of Minnesota is a concern IMO. What’s really going on here? Is he playing hurt? He was perhaps a blown review away from a hat trick three games ago in Buffalo and now he’s logging very limited minutes. Something doesn’t add up. 1
Popular Post PhillipBlunt
Best things about the empty netter are how Pearson waited until two of those dastardly desert dogs were near him before sweeping it in, and how hard Eriksson hustled for that puck. Hearing that Brendan Dillon is possibly available via trade. I hope Jim is interested. The Canucks could use a beast like him. 1 3
