There's nothing wrong with having a sick leave policy. Once COVID-19 happened they have been apparently working with franchises to follow public health advice during this emergency.

Honesty, believe them or don't, but it sounds to me like they're trying to do the right thing.

Nope

Not overriding their policy to not pay employees on sick days

Boycott Tim’s

crap coffee, crap company

Why just pick on Tim Horton’s??

numerous companies have this type of policy.

Before I retired, where I worked; if you were sick for 3 or more days, you were required to get a Doctors note.

Because they have pattern of employee treatment issues

look it up

things have changed by the way

also many class company’s are overriding their standard sick policies

not Tim’s

Covid-19 is a pandemic (WHO has declared it a pandemic).  If we don't take extreme measures this Covid-19 will easily surpass the deaths associated with annual Influenza.  The mortality rate for Influenza A & B is about 0.1% whereas the mortality rate of Covid-19 is about (as far as we know now) 2% to 3%.  That's 20 to 30 times higher than Influenza.  Please inform yourself from reputable sources.  Here are some good web sites:

I don't get the TP thing at all.

I'll jump in the shower or run my butt on the lawn if needed.

Clean water, rice, beans, and alcohol all must haves. If there is complete mayhem I'm not staying sober.

be sure to make

and post a vid

if you do

we all lack for quality entertainment these days

can you maybe start this new order of hygiene today ?

i need such i vid i'm thinking

i could replay it whenever my boredom requires it

The mini-scandal of the weekend is what's unfolding at US airports. Late last week Trump ordered:
  1. Ban on European flights
  2. Returning flights from Europe can only come to 13 US airports
The unintended consequence was a massive surge into US airports this weekend with people from all over Europe crammed into lineups and confined spaces -- some for as many as 10 hours.

Not a Timmy fan because of the quality of their product and frankly the service. It is like they defy you to deal with them. But  Starbucks isn’t much dif.

Having been in in the service industry the operators are faced with certain realities. Staff turnover is high virus or not. Unpaid sick leave is probably not an issue. It is how do they open the doors with enough staff to operate. How many of their staff will work whether sick or not because they need the paycheque? Next time you go to one of these sites do a head count behind the counter. Operators usually try to give staff as many hours as possible so staff can earn enough money. Lessening hours and hiring more people would give more flexibility to their business. Top that with difficulty in finding new hires. There is a reason why you see so many Filipinos working there. They are willing to work when many are not.

A tough situation.

Yikes.  This is definitely not going to flatten the curve.  Lots of spots there isn't even room to cover your mouth properly in that crowd.
