Should Prince Harry be chosen as our King?

Recommended Posts

I’ve said before on this forum that I’m a loyalist to the crown.

Would Canada be more open to a head of state that actually live in Canada? Or does our future lie in being a republic? Considering our history and the pure ceremonial nature of presidents in other countries that have prime-ministers, I would think this is a viable option.

I would also be inclined to say that their first born child in Canada would be the rightful heir, not “King Archie”.

Believe me, I realize many of you will think this is absolutely silly, no need to point it out.

We should be a Republic.

These so-called "royals" have no idea what regular people have to go through here in Canada.

I also wouldn't be opposed to being annexed by the United States so long as we can keep our universal health care system and our social services. This wouldn't be unprecedented as the state of Massachusetts has their own healthcare system. Of course there are many proud Canadians on this board who would be infuriated to hear me say this but joining the US would finally give us the ability to influence international politics. Canada's 35 Million people would be able to turn the United States back into it's role as a Centre-left countries. No more of these LINOs(Liberal in name only) like Obama and Clinton who became butt buddies with the Republicans(Clinton in particular).

The United States would never annex us as the Republicans would know it would fundamentally shift their politics, Canada would get somewhere along the lines of 60 electoral college votes on population alone, then count the number of senate seats, I think we would be reduced from 10 to 7 provinces as the maritimes would be merged. That's 74 votes, most if not all likely to go to Democrats.

It's not their fault we're dumb enough to elect them, over and over again.

And I'd be taking up arms to prevent it.  The US is a very broken country and I would rather did defending Canada than be subject to a government I consider to be pure evil.

Even many Englis can't stand the royals and want them gone, why in god green earth would we want someone here to cost tax payers more for no damn reason.  The further we can cut out ties with the them and stop wasting tax payers money on them the better.

They viewed 3019 Point Grey Road yesterday for a purchase. They're obviously serious about re-locating here.
