I have feeling that the way the Flames season is going, that Johnny Gaudreau could be traded to Philadelphia with Shane Gostisbehere and Justin Braun heading to Calgary.

lil Jonny is going home to New Joisey for Vatanen and Simmonds.

That move sends Calgary back into mediocrity..... I like it.

Realistically the Nucks do nothing. Which is the way it should be imo.

League wide I would say Hall is getting moved somewhere if Arizona doesn't turn it around. I could also see a team like Chicago going after a JG Pageau to shore up their 3rd line C. The Blackhawks are a team that probably thinks they can do some damage if they get into the playoffs with the back bone of Toews and Kane. I could also see Edmonton going after Pageau so the they can improve their forward depth down the middle which allows more freedom for Nuge, McJesus and Draisatl.

Canuck predictions (more like wishful thinking).

Roussel (they love them French players) + Lind to Montreal for Kovy

MTL gets some size and grit in their lineup and a nice prospect.

Beartschi to Columbus for a conditional pick that we'll never see.

CBJ get a top 9 forward that they desperately need.

Sutter to a contender in the East for a thank you card.

that team gets a foundational piece.

Benn to Winnipeg for a 4th

we get rid of 12m+ of cap space.

our lineup looks like this after the aftermath

Miller - Pettersson - Boeser

Pearson - Horvat - Kolvachuk

Ferland - Gaudette - Virtanen

Motte - Beagle - Eriksson/Motte/Leivo

the 2nd line gets revamped

Make the lineup weaker. - check

Deplete depth. - check

Lose grit, defense, skill, a promising prospect, introduce old fart that you could have had for free. - check

Clone Motte and have im play on both wings on the same line while being injured. - check

Canucks make no moves with the big club, maybe some minor league/draft stuff to tidy up.

Defintley Crawford out of Chicago to somewhere that depseratley needs him for the playoff push and playoffs. More interesting to me is what Chicago wants in return: a roster player for the playoffs or a pick(s) towards a rebuild.

you completely missed the point of those trades tho... valuable cap space.

how did the lineup get weaker? you think Sutter and Roussel moves the needle for this team?

Benn has been terrible hence being scratched for the past like 2 months. we have Brogan Rafferty waiting too.

Roussel looks like a shell of himself and hasn't shown much grit...

we still have plenty of grit after those trades. we have MacEwen, Ferland, Beags and Virtanen, Bo and Miler, Motte, Schaller.

Kole Lind is not even that steep of a price to pay especially when you are trying to unload a whole salary with term left.

If kovy works out for us, then great we get a pure goal scorer on the 2nd line but if he doesn't, he is gone in the summer and clear even more cap.

the main thing is CAP SPACE. look what cap space gave us last summer. J.T Miller.

Actually. Drouin, Scandella and Danault are the only French Canadian player on the Habs.  And Roussell is from France. Not a selling feature. That said, Lind would be a nice potential return for Kovalchuk if they decide not to re-sign him

Are you suggesting we trade Lind fir Kovi?  You got me seriously confused here.

So you think Lind for Kovi is a good idea?  Your post literally made no sense if you’re a Canuck’s fan.

For Montreal it’s a good return. As I said. I didn’t suggest the trade.  Now back to the ignore list with you. You’re just to obtuse to deal with on a regular basis

Time is now for TB to get to the SCF. They need more size, speed, skill and playoff acumen. Insert Kreider from NYR to fill out their top 6 and push Palat down the lineup making this contending team even more dangerous on paper.

NYR retain salary

TB offers up their 1st rnd pick or ours if we make the playoffs, as well as a prospect outside of the Foote brothers. If Kreider resigns in the offseason or TB wins the cup, NYR will also receive TB's 2nd rnd pick at the 2020 draft.

Stamkos Point Kuch

Krieder Cirelli Johnson

Killorn Pacquette Maroon

Palat Stephens Guorde

Hedman Sergachev

McDonagh Cernak

Coburn  Shattenkirk

That is a championship caliber team if they can stay healthy.

As far as Canucks trades, I have no idea. It will all depend on where we are at in the standings over the next 5-6 games, Ferland's health and the internal vision of JIm and his staff. I just hope we stand pat.
